They are Northern Iowa so I wouldn't look pass them.

A solid Missouri Valley Conference program. Haven't seen them this year yet but historically they shoot the ball very well.

Like I have said a better version of Northern Colorado. They actually beat them earlier in the year.

No blood no foul. 10 seconds later, a possibly slight touching hand check on our best player. And oh good call

Is Harler engaged to one of Huggins' relatives, or did he win some kind of make a wish lottery drawing?

I've nevr seen a guy push so many players in the back in my entire life. That big bruiser on UNI should have fouled out by now.

Hes in his own world. Oh I'm gonna change the lineup every 3 seconds and think well ever have any rhythm at all on offense or defense. Oscar got a BS handcheck call and sat for 9 minutes. The only things consistent about this team is he is stunting its growth and production. McCabe will play until his man scores or he breathes then hes out for hours, oscar will go out for no reason and play 6 minutes, energy just keeps dropping and the players seem more and more annoyed by it. Who the hell wouldnt be. Its borderline embarrassing to have 14 points on Northern Iowa almost halftime. All this garbage teams worried about this guy and this guy and them together, why? They'll never play together. Somebody always in trouble

Ugly game so far. No one can shoot from the outside. Logan is such a liability on offense that he is 15 feet from the basket and UNI gives him 5 feet of space. It's a free throw or an easy drive to a 5 footer and he can't do either. The only thing I've seen from McCabe was a drive into a double team and the turn over on s garbage pass. Out of position on rebounds and giving too many second shots while not getting 2nd chance points ourselves. Defense has given up alot of cuts to the basket. Lastly the officials are very questionable, getting our bigs for even perceived infractions (the over the back on Oscar was BS, he just reached well over the guy) while their big guy will get away with murder down low. Also I haven't seen a team get away with the Heisman stiff arm on offense this much since Mason played point for Kansas.

So far McCabe is earning his doghouse status. Careless turnovers, getting into traps, and not creating any assists.

Hope we win, but I'm not going to torture myself by watching this sorry excuse for basketball. When Huggs and this team want to take this seriously, maybe I'll watch another game.

At some point, there needs to be a serious discussion on Huggins's terrible halftime adjustments (or lack of) that have plagued WVU for at least the last four seasons. It has reached a level where a fan would not be crazy to view a six-point halftime lead as a good indicator for a loss or a six-point deficit as an inevitable defeat because you know the opposing team will make necessary changes that Huggins is too arrogant to make.

And by serious, I mean numerous segments on Three Guys Before the Game, Sportsline, discussing it in real-time as Tony and Jay watch the wheels come off in front of them (Jay certainly has no problem trashing the players), asking Huggins directly why his teams consistently get so out-played and out-coached in the second half of almost every game.

Just turning this crap off. At some point, you've got to pick a starting 5 and let them get some reps. We have some kids who are just defensive liabilities and get dribble drived every game. Can't get into an offensive rhythm at all because everybody is just going to collapse into the paint defensively against our two big men when they are together. Has Haley taken a shot tonight? McNeil can shoot, McBride can score and play defense, Matthews can score but they can't when they are sitting on the bench. I know its November and these are basically just exhibition games but for Pete's sake why does Bob keep beating this tired dead horse that is Routt and Harler? We know what they can do - not much - so why even put them in the game? It's 5 on 4 or 3 if both are in at the same time, offensively and defensively.
Also, at some point don't you have to consider playing a zone of some kind? McCabe is too slow to guard anyone and he's not shooting well enough to justify him being out there. He's not the only one. Haley seems to check out on occasion defensively but at least he doesn't get dribble drived, just back-doored. That has been Northern Iowa's entire offense - dribble drives and back doors. At some point don't you have to do something to stop this same old crap EVERY game.

If we can foul out their entire normal rotation with enough time left, we can maybe steal a win we dont deserve

So far McCabe is earning his doghouse status. Careless turnovers, getting into traps, and not creating any assists.

And dribbling incessantly. Yes, we know you can dribble, Jordan.

He's a good set shooter normally. Not now, but normally. Can't take my old tired *** off the dribble and truth be told he's not the all-around player McBride is. By B12 play McBride will probably be getting the lion's share of minutes if not starting. One would think, but right now, who is doing the thinking? Would love to hear the thought process on what's being put on the court now.

Let's not act as if tonight is an anomaly. We've gone through stretches in the past 4 games where we've seen this very same thing. Switching players out left and right. Let players know their roles and live by them. So far, we've just been able to eek out victories. If we don't get some rhythm soon, by B12 play we'll be facing these same problems night after night.

Thank God for Miles McBride. He won the game for us and was clearly our best player. I'll take the win but Wichita St looks good. If we play like we did tonight we will lose.

We still have a ton of issues if we are going to be a tournament team. Yes, I know its November, but some things you have to fix in November and December if you want to play in a tournament you don't have to pay to get into or is called the Nothing Interesting Tonight.
