Are you freaking kidding me? There are 10 million other channels and websites to be showing the political stuff and I turn on ABC to watch WVU-Texas and I get political stuff? Really? I've spent the past several days avoiding this junk and then I go to watch football on a channel where the TV schedule says football will be on and I get politics instead. Unreal!

Texas online getting a lot of leeway on holding our rushers. Doege needs to actually run one or just stop running zone read plays. And our offensive calling can still be predictable. I knew at 3rd and 10 on the 50 we would run a conservative play to pick up 5 or more yards so we could go for it. Texas did as well and just ran an LB straight at Sinkfield for a TFL.

Right on cue, a critical 3rd and 2 we run a zone read play where Doege doesn't keep. Who could see that coming? It would be better to bring in a wildcat in that position. Sure the defense would know its a run, but at least the zone read play might have to be respected.

Great play by Mahome and then the offense again squanders a chance to even at least help the defense with field position. A draw/delay on 3rd and 15 makes me nostalgic for the old Nehlen late 90's

Texas doesn't care about our decoy. Brown up the middle with Doege on one side and a WR on the other side of the backfield with enough space that a guy with a walker could gain 10 yards because Texas is just waiting for Brown. Luckily Esdale then saved Doege from a grossly mis thrown ball.

I guess a player could panic in the heat of the moment, but throwing two forward passes on one play is a pretty obvious no-no. Also, I have WVU radio on because freaking ABC is doing politics instead of the game they said they'd telecast, and Tony didn't say what the penalty was until after the officials announced it. I can't believe he didn't say right after the play that it was an obvious penalty.

What's our QB situation for next year? Kendall is gone (or maybe he can come back after the pandemic) and Doege is back (and has two years left because of the pandemic. Greene will be a redshirt freshman and they have some other guy coming in that will be a true freshman. Anyone else? Doege doesn't seem as good now as he was in the last four games last year and I'm not sure he's the answer for 2021 and 2022. And I really don't get the point of repeated read options when the QB almost never keeps it. We can have a good team without Pat White but OTOH our QB has to be a threat to run now and then.

52 seconds left and one TO that we didn't take. Let UT run it down to 12 seconds. Shows a complete lack of faith in our offense that coach Brown thinks the better play is to try and ice a veteran kicker than use that TO to preserve 45 seconds to try a drive.

Shows what I know, UT missed it. WVU is lucky to be in this game with how ugly the offense has played.

Considering how bad the offense was in the 1st half I think not risking it was a good move. Regroup the offense at halftime and see if things get better in the 2nd half.

Do Texas teams ever get called for holding?

First Texas Tech raped our D-linemen and now Texas doing the same.

True. Texas playing better offense and special teams. WVU defense is outplaying Texas defense, those guys are just not getting the benefit of an offense that is very limited and officials that call holds
