Pisses me off certain self absorbed fans don't believe bowl games mean anything. These type of moments and the entire experience each player goes through with a bowl game is rewarding, meaningful and will be a lifelong memory. The season is bigger and more important than the little emotion any given idiot feels whether or not the team is perfect on every play. They need to get a perspective in life.

Seniors want to go out a winner. Freshman want show they can play. In a sense it's an audition for some and a shot at being known for others.

Lol - didn’t Marshall just collectively withdraw from one of these exhibitions? So meaningful

As you stated, bowl games are meaningful - to the players. To the fans - mehhhh.

Two exceptions apply - you're in the playoffs or you're on the uptick after years of not making one.

It's basically just supply and demand. If you made a bowl, say, in the 90's and before, that was indicative of having a successful season. A team basically had to win 8 or 9 games to even be considered. That's because the supply of bowls was very limited and scarcity existed.

Not today. Today, there are how many? The answer - too many to count. A team doesn't even have to have a winning season anymore to make a bowl. So, when the supply far outpaces the demand, the value of the bowl deteriorates to the point of basically being just another exhibition game.

Memphis looking to improve their resume for joining the Big12. It might be important to our players and coaches but its probably doesn't mean much to our program right now.

I’m going to call this the Thank you for your service Greene Bowl. Ugh. We were so overblown on his accuracy improvement this past offseason.

I can't imagine staying awake much longer if we are going to get our butts whipped. Wvu showing it's soft edge for the last time tonight. No more soft after this game.

Memphis is so stupid. Why do they blitz? If they drop back and force Greene to be a pocket-passer, it will work out well for them.
