Pitt sucks. But so does our secondary. The point spread, or spread, is a number set by odds makers to even the playing field. It’s a way for the sportsbook to balance a matchup between two unequal teams by either giving points to the underdog or taking points away from the favorite in the final score. A -1.0 pretty much says this game is even. (I would stay away from this one). I would say the reason they think Pitt is 1 point favorite is due to the Neal Brown factor.

Great explanation. Things like turnovers will be a big factor in this game. Totally agree on our secondary. Even against Duquesne, our d-backs were frequently out of position or chasing the receiver. Beanie Bishop's interception was a good example. We were fortunate that the ball hung up just long enough to give him time to recover and take the ball away.
One thing for sure, this game, along with the Taco Tech game the following week, will pretty much determine how the rest of our season goes.

Clement has blazing speed..hit 22.7 mph on the GPS..the Bearcats had two returning starters on offense and rushed for 216 yards against Pitt
