The walk-ons are the glue of the roster. It's important to have West Virginian's on the roster. He is very respected on the football team because he's one of the best people and a hard worker.</p><p></p><p>--They'll worry about play calling in the fall. Jeff Koonz and ShaDon Brown called the scrimmage in order to grow coaches and Sean Reagan and Chad Scott called the plays. He wanted those two defensive coaches to get experience calling plays on that side. The rotations of those coaches also worked the scrimmages the week before. There were definitely some improvements. </p><p></p><p>--Bell has made improvement and today was the second time that nobody was telling him what to do. He got beat off the ball for a sack today. Bell has a wing span of 87 plus but he has to decide. He plans to sit down and come to a decision moving forward after talking with Bob Huggins and Bell.</p><p></p><p>--West Virginia had one penalty today. Last year they had some procedure penalties that really hurt them and it wasn't an issue today. Defensively they really worked fundamentals because usually those happen because they were out of position. </p><p></p><p>--Chad Scott is going to be on the field this fall. When somebody earns a leadership role, sometimes being put in a position you flourish or struggle and he's really flourished. He is great in front of the room and his best service is to be on the field. He is an energy guy and they feed off him. Sean Reagan will stay in the box. </p><p></p><p>--West Virginia is better with pad leverage and DBs playing a little more zone coverage. Making sure linebackers within limits are getting their hands on people and the corners are playing with their feet.</p><p></p><p>--Brown doesn't think the timing changes will be that big of a factor. </p><p></p><p>--Ben Cutter and James Heard are going to be factors for them in the fall. Heard is the most natural pass rusher they've recruited and they have to find a way to use that skill set.</p><p></p><p>--West Virginia now needs to hold the roster together and add some pieces. They need to get a lot better in all three phases. The Mountaineers have to be ready to go.</p><p></p><p>--Sean Martin didn't play due to precaution. Ja'Shaun Poke was held out and Asani Redwood isn't going to be ready at the beginning of the season but he likely will return. </p><p></p><p>--Braham had the touchdown where he ran away from the defender and he's gotten faster but he faded away from a go-ball.
