The genius idea to draw up play with 3 seconds remaining knowing Baylor would foul up 3 and we draw it up to get ball to our worst FT shooter. Absolute genius.
I’ll give you this, since you’re hell bent on bashing the head coach, the team largely hasn’t improved through the course of the year. That has me question DeVries more than the last play of the game. That said, they just can’t have Okani in at the end of a game. Just can’t. He has proven that he doesn’t care about free throws. Too much of a liability.
Why not have your worst FT shooter take the ball out? Yeah. I’m no genius. But I did think of that.
And I’m not hell bent on bashing anyone. I just would like to see people have expectations on strategy and in-game moves. And the last two weeks has been less than stellar on both.
Out scored 27-11 from foul line. BYU 27-32 & WVU 11-17. WVU despite Powell and small shooting a combined 2 of 19 from 3 they still could have won. Made more FG 26 and 3 pointers 8 than Baylor did.
So yeah just hit a few more FT and it's a win despite Baylor scoring 27 points from the line.
4 foul shooters on this team worth a crap. One of those is out for the season.
