Cardiovascular capacity is definitely my issue. Ask my wife.
So something that you are spot on about is how we really stepped up in the NCAA tournament. I thought we over-performed for the first time in a long time so what this staff is doing is absolutely working. I will shut up about it. I will positively praise the guys who already look like they're in great shape - Robideau and Spratley stand out. Doucet looks really good as well.

Also I need to stop always assuming gassing out means being in terrible shape means being lazy. Some people just have a higher cardiovascular capacity.

I don't mean to be so negative about it. I just think "dang if they're already this good - how much better could they be if they were in elite shape?"

Other than Spratley and Doucet and Facundo we looked sluggish in every match. Even Roubideau did not look sharp in his tech fall victory over a backup. Ramirez was out-horsed. Swiderski ridden for two straight periods, Ryder and Merrill made very few moves toward a takedown and this against a team that lost Friday night to North Carolina 27-7. 33-3 score deceptive as they had 4 starters out of the lineup. Ryder has shown one move all season and this is an underhook to a swing single.I hate to sound this negative and the last two matches did get my juices flowing a little but right now we are far from a dominant team and a finish in the top five at Nationals is looking dimmer. I guess you can start calling me Harley.
Oberebo, I rewatched Landon's match and I think that you are right. That Robideau was not sharp either. He was in several bad situations, but he was so much better than his opponent he still got the takedown. His takedowns were not sharp and clean, but he was so dominant it didn't matter. If I remember you had a major in English or writing and so I am surprised, you haven't picked up on my writing style. However, in our current situation it is much easier to be positive although nobody liked an entry, I made on Ignasio at Iron Man. I am glad you are still hanging in there, I am hoping I am alive to experience 35. It has been a long wait and I am thinking in 2 years we hopefully have a fantastic lineup. Maybe 25 Rocklin Zinklin fr., 33 Jadyn Raney soph 41 Jax Forrest soph, 49 Jordyn Raney fr, 57 Landon Robideau jun, 65 Dee Lockett jun, 74 Zack Ryder jun, 84 Michael White fr, 97 Cody Merrill jun, Dreshaun Ross fr. To me that appears our best lineup maybe ever. With great development the potential here is outstanding. That is a lineup that could beat Penn St.

You have Vega on the bench ? What about Ronnie I feel he's probably better than Raney at 133

A couple of things:

For one I cant believe nobody is mentioning Facundo as a possible finalist? He lost to #2, 0-2. Lost to #3 in SV1 by a td. Was down a TD to #5 Singleton when he made a bad mistake turning into him from bottom and got caught.

We all know Alex struggled early with finishes but he's been in on the legs of all these guys. I think his issues with finishing are behind him as he's been a td machine. He's also improved on top. Not saying he's a favorite over Haines of course but I could see him wrestling Saturday night.

Second, As far as future lineups, you have to remember we have an Olympic year coming. I see Dt using Olympic shirts to rotate guys in and sitting others to make the best use of eligibility. I could see Vega shirting next year and you start the Raneys and Jax and then the following year you throw Ronnie and Vega bk in. That leaves a RS for both Raneys and Jax for the future. Landon will also have one to work guys in moving forward. Great problems to have.

I was thinking that next year Vega wrestles at 149 and then the year I mentioned above is that Vega redshirts and grows into 157 for the next year and then Maybe Landon and Dee move up a weight class. I am looking at how we can have the best lineup and not lose a superstar. Also I think that Jayden could beat Ramirez next year and even a greater chance with 1 year in the program. We will have to make adjustments as right now we have great wrestlers that won't make our lineup so I was presenting a possible lineup but mostly I was pointing out what a powerful lineup we could have down the road.

I’d be interested to see how Cael looks next year when healthy. Maybe we start him at 133 and redshirt Ronnie and Jayden?
