Murphy is not the same kind of running team. They're a power team, straight ahead running. The field has taken Starmount's game away from them
Ballga.e I think Murphy little better without field conditions. They have some speed
You obviously have not watched Murphy play, they to cut on most of they plays, with exception of the fb trap.
Starmount did not have a game plan for sloppy conditions. Murphy adjusted to it and it's worked for them.
Can't hold onto the ball. Not used to playing in these conditions. Starmount looks like they're running on ice trying to get traction. Nowhere close to the passing and what were used to seeing

Probably first time all year faced a line that could stop it. Was a good drive and needed to score quickly to save time

I’ll be honest I’m shocked at how undisciplined both of these teams are after the whistle.
By design, we took 3 and half minutes off clock, without losing a lot of field position
No bootleg at the goal line with the way Deuce had been running the ball was interesting! Im no coach but one of them calls would’ve definitely been him off to the left on a naked bootleg with his deceptive speed and long strides…
Maybe… but that’s a bad way to be spoiled.. as kids everybody grew up playing in grass and mud and what have you.. in middle school same thing.. def can’t have those excuses for highschool players.. but great game by both great programs for sure. Just can’t melt down in a game like this.
Yes I know. Worst game he's played all year. Couldn't hold onto the ball and running like he's on ice. I'm not even sure the kids had the right cleats for this kind of field conditions. That's why homefield advantage would've been huge. I hate it for the Seniors.
Starmount did not looked good at all passing the ball, picked three times and couldve been picked three others. I didnt see any passing "advantage" if Im being honest

Yeah I know. Times have changed with the turf field and nice jerseys now. I'm sure he felt a ton of pressure to not lose as well. Hate it, but it's a learning experience. He will be back and better from it next year.

No he's done a great job in the past few weeks. Credit to Murphy on stopping the I formation that hasn't been stopped before. Starmount just didn't have a plan B

I hate it for the Rams but next week they would've been obliterated anyway. Murphy will succumb to the same fate next week as well. Neither team was gonna have anything for Tarboro
They had games against teams without a pulse before the West Wilkes game and couldn't put up points that they should've. Starmount's game just isn't conducive to these conditions, it's that simple. I knew it all week but would never say anything hoping the game would get moved to Thursday. It is what it is. Reeves has done a fine job in his limited first time ever being an OC.
