Storm led 47-14 at one point in the 3rd and the game got a little sloppy. I don't think Bandy's anticipated how physical SC is. And tonight they showed how balanced the offense can be. Haven't see the final numbers but It will be over 200 yards rushing and close to 200 yards passing.

Hats off to Maiden. Best LB core I’ve seen this season and #1 can flat out run it. Leftwich and the boys played their tails off, but in the end you guys were just flat out better. Best of luck the rest of the way.

Overlooked SCramer, think most of us did. Congrats to those guys. Think rest of us called the games like they ended up being except Foard was closer than everyone thought but do bare in mind they did have a good JV team past 2 years if I’m not mistaken. Improving.

AMD got what he wanted all season, pic time lol. Real good horse fight to come with Crest and EL.

Wish Freedom was 5A cause looks like the run is bout to come to an end with Sun Valley. Freedom crushed CCabbrus hard. Thought for sure be a good game or be closer cause they usually dont fair well with Cabbarus co schools.

Soooo any word bout Franklin besides them bringing a good away crowd? Be a good one for Hickory next week but I’m sure they’ll take care of business as sometimes the Mtn boys dont carry the athletes they carry here but hey, dont count Franklin out they bring it.

This Thread gets the energy. EB conference has yet to make 2 pages on anything lol. How bout that beat down at East Rutherford, who saw that one coming. Shelby clicking during playoffs they always seem to. Lincolnton, ya'll got fortunate on Shelby before they turned playoff Hulk. Lincolnton they didn't let me down either, dang i said that one would be close and I was dead on. 1 point!!!!

2 games I was wrong on, Bandys win and Freedom being close. Freedom wasn't close. Next up is Sam Howells alma mater. Need a good game in the area if you dont wanna go to Maiden, Hickory, or EL, come up to Freedom. Coach Adkins doing a super job in Morganton.

I noted on the the Mountain 8 thread about West having several encroachment penalties because they rushed off the end every single play. Some of those penalties we created with mixed cadence. They also had several dead ball/personal fouls one was a late game frustration penalty that wasn’t terrible but looked a mouth just kept running right near the official. Another they almost shoved our kid through the fence after he was out of bounds. The play before that we had belly-to-belly supplexed their kid for a tackle out of bounds and got a personal foul of our own.

They had an unnecessary block in the back right at the goal line and the kid immediately knew he did it but it was too late. They also got a 15-yarder tacked onto that same play but I can’t remember what. Several others were holds on the edge as they tried to string every single play as far as they could and you would see the jersey stretch quite obviously.
On both sides of the ball it seemed a lot of their penalties were a result of how they play. Try to jump every snap in D, you’re going to have some miscues at this age. Try to string every play as far as possible outside, you’re going to have some obvious holds. Our stuff was almost between the tackles and one would eventually bust free during most drives.

Too edgy for their current discipline/ maturity is the way I’d describe most of West’s penalties.

Number three for y'all is a beast. Number 31 for us linebacker is like a rabbid wolverine or hamster LOL. If he would have been blessed with more size he's what everyone would wish for in a linebacker but makes up for it with heart and pure aggression. Number 11 has come a long way to be a great linebacker this year. I wish both our safeties was being available for this game so we could have seen a complete defense. But at least one will be back next week hopefully

He had 59 yds on 18 carries…after a slow start to the season (torn acl at end of last season and a long recovery) it was just the 2nd time in last 10 games he was held under 100. Mt Airy was the other, Maiden defense is legit and so is the offense. Good luck vs NC

Thanks. Yalls coaches were very creative with hurry up run to pass switch and using #3 like tim Tebow
