Chase and RS should he a good ballgame and someone will get there 1st and maybe only win in Draughn vs Patton game.

That game is also homecoming for Draughn. I still think Patton has a chance, but the Wildcats are probably two touchdown favorites.

EBs year in this conference might be next year. Good QB on JV team on the rise and should help turn things around for them next fall, BUT….what speed and athleticism they have are mostly seniors so not sure what they will have around this QB to get the ball to.

I was at the game. It was really bad. EB got a NICE TD pass there toward the end of the game to make it not look too much like a Highland Tech type score lol. Good QB for the future for EB that can beat you with his feet and arm. Defense wasn't on it that well on pass coverage, run coverage was fair, and not enough offense to make it good. We got a ways to go and we can improve I'm sure but we do have a lighter schedule down the road. Hibriten looks to be big fish in little pond once again like the conference they had 5 or 6 years ago lol

Expected that from EB. What was EBs bright spots if any? I know Hernandez on the DL can get at it on some plays but was there anything else?

I expected more from Draughn in that one, figured it’d be a shootout or somewhat

West must be playing pretty good. You’d think after Hibriten that ER woulda put up more.

EB looked decent. I figure theyll give RS Central a game. I think ER game ended early not sure how much was played.

RS is a pretty good looking ball team … I know the record is not good but they are not a bad team…. Record can be deceiving I guess cause Chase looked like a JV team and RS did not look like a 1 win team..don’t overlook the Hilltoppers

You can't simply come in and turn a program that had gone so far down as to not even field a varsity team around overnight. Speaking of which, I saw some comments on Facebook about how coach Powell's team is struggling and hinting that maybe it was time for a change in Rutherford College. That would be a huge mistake as he's really the only one to do anything with that team and he is committed to doing a good job in a touch situation. Hopefully the administration over there understands that they've got a good man to lead their program and ignores the frustrated voices.

I’ve heard a lot of good about Powell. I hope he does stay and work things out. Tough to lose the guys he lost when they had that big run but it’s life they have to graduate and move on. I hope they do have better days ahead

Chris Powell is top shelf! Those fans calling for a change are the biggest problem!
