WF's first drive started at the CH 45 yard line but only gained 18 yards and ended with a 41 yard Batchala FG to open the scoring, 3-0, at the 8:52 mark in the first quarter. CH's next possession was another three and out, followed by a 51 yard WF drive that ended with a 14 yard Carlson to Lee pass to extend the lead to 10-0 (Batchala XP) with 4:46 remaining in the first quarter. CH's next possession gained a first down but ended in another punt that only went to the WF 45 yard line. WF scored in their first play of this drive, a 55 yard Carlson to Gay-Johnson pass to extend the lead to 17-0 (Batchala XP) with 2:56 to play in the first quarter. CH started their next possession on their 20 yard line and again went three and out, but this time WF's Flamer blocked the punt and WF took over on the CH 21 yard line. On this WF drive Carlson found Lee again for a seven yard TD pass and WF extended the lead to 24-0 (Batchala XP) with 10:08 remaining in the half. The two teams then traded fumbles, with WF's Lartey recovering a CH fumble followed on the next possession by CH's Vail recovering a WF fumble at the CH five yard line.
