In a game filled with huge offensive plays from both teams (the two offenses accounted for around 1000 yards in the game) the difference came down to Westfield getting several stops while Washington-Liberty did not get any stops until the clock ran out on WF's final drive. WF forced WL to punt twice in the first half and got two interceptions in the second half, while the Westfield offense scored on its first eight possessions to get a 56-28 win.

WL's first possession was a punt, followed by a 52 yard WF drive when Southerland went 52 yards on the second play to put WF ahead 7-0 (Batchala XP) with 10:02 to play in the first quarter. WL answered with a 57 yard drive and scored on a 13 yard Flint-Steinig to Fullen pass to tie it at 7-7 (Jones XP) with 6:30 to go in the first quarter. WF retook the lead on a Southerland 14 yard run to retake the lead at 14-7 (Batchala XP) with 2:03 remaining in the first quarter. WL then drove 80 yards and scored on a Flint-Steinig to Dennis pass to tie the game again at 14 all (Jones XP) with 6:49 to play in the half. WF answered with Southerland's third TD run, this one 50 yards and the score was 21-14 WF (Batchala XP) with 4:15 remaining in the half. WF forced WL to punt on its next possession then extended their lead to 28-14 (Batchala XP) on a 10 yard Carlson to Barnes TD pass with 1:04 remaining in the half.

WF received the second half KO and used a 77 yard KOR by Johnson to set up a Carlson one yard run and the score was pushed out to 35-17 (Batchala XP) just over two minutes into the second half. WL answered with an 80 yard drive, converting two 4th downs along the way, and cut the lead to 35-21 on a 6 yard Flint-Steinig to Jones pass (Jones XP) with 3:43 remaining in the third quarter. WF then used a 38 yard Cardenas KOR to start their drive just inside WL territory and scored again when Merritt-Allen went up the middle from 23 yards out to extend the lead to 42-21 (Batchala XP) with 1:30 remaining in the third quarter. On the next WL drive WF's Lee intercepted WL's Flint-Steinig at the WF 25 yard line and returned the ball to the WF 40 yard line. WF's Merritt-Allen then got his second TD run, this time a 2 yard run set up by his own 46 yard yard run, and WF was now ahead 49-21 with 10:46 remaining in the game. WF's Lee then intercepted Flint-Steinig again on the next WL drive, returning the ball 52 yards to the WL 23 yard line, and that set up Southerland's fourth TD of the game, a 23 yard run, to extend the lead to 56-21 (Batchala XP) at the 6:56 mark of the fourth quarter. WL then scored on a 65 yard drive when Jules found Toepel on a 41 yard pass to the WF 28 yard line to set up a Black 8 yard run for the game's final score, 56-28 (Jones XP).
