There would be 30 fouls called already in that game if they were wearing WVU uniforms. Either team - wouldn't matter. That first foul on Devin Williams 10 seconds in told me everything I needed to know about how they would call the game.
North American basketball is trying so hard to copy the Euro basketball.
Not sure why because North American basketball has always been far superior. But basketball here is shifting more and more to the Euro style.

I read somewhere, can't recall where, that Oliver Luck said one of the issues the NCAA is looking at is having a National Pool of game officials that would be assigned to games throughout the country. That would be opposed to the current set-up of each conference have their own pool of game officials.
So, I can surmise from this being a consideration at that level there are indeed issues with the current way of doing things.

The same with this ND Kentucky game
Lots of body, lots of hands and elbows, both sides, but no whistles. I got really tired of the ******** ticky tack fouls called in the Big 12, but I saw NO difference once we were in the tournament. Pissed off, I am. Not that the outcome of the game with Kentucky would have been any different, but we got called for way too many touch fouls way far away from the basket the whole tournament.
