...tried to like but just can’t?

Mine would have to be sardines. I’ve tried to like them but just can’t.

I’ve it a friend who buys the canned sardines at Kroger. Eats them with crackers. Says they are great. I look at them occasionally but can’t pull the trigger on them. I don’t like cheesecake for some odd reason. It seems to be a fan favorite but not with me.

Yeah, I’ve tried sardines a few times and hoped each time that I would acquire a taste for them, (Mainly because of the health benefits) but I just can’t stand the taste.

Also not a big fan of bananas either.

Kev, I don't live in a world of labels.

As much as I love steak, bacon, sausage, ribs, etc, there’s a part of me that wonders if I could be a vegetarian if I really had to.

I love eggs and fish. I don’t consider either as meat.

I’m too old to give up what I’ve always enjoyed, but if I’m reincarnated, I may give the vegetarian thing a shot.

I won’t give up my bourbon and beer however.

Certain spicy peppers are getting to be a no go. Jalapenos are the main offenders. I like them but I know the problems that await.

Spicier peppers are not that bad on me...yet.

Cucumbers and celery will be meals in hell if the devil claims me. Eternity of eating the two nastiest vegetables ever.

Bananas

The taste to me is sweet rot, which along with the mushy texture combines to make something that I not only don't like, but that often kicks in my gag reflex.

Cottage cheese
Interesting that you bring this up, because when I was young I used to feel the same way about it. I thought it was just gross. As an adult I’ve grown to really like it.

I usually have it over sliced tomatoes or avocado.

Chitterlings/chitlins. i’ve been around people who are eating them. stink like ****. i’d have to be dying of starvation to put that **** in my mouth.

I used to feel the same way about limburger cheese until a friend finally got me to try it. it’s really very good.

57 and have never tried sardines and don’t ever plan on to. Don’t much care for calamari, sushi, wife loves gizzards and I love livers, will fry up a batch of both for us every once in a while. I’m the only one in the family that likes beets, don’t much care for okra as I find it too mushy and slimy at times.

I have famous recipe gizzards once a year or less. if they’re freshly cooked they’re really tasty with lots of black pepper or tabasco and a cold beer. pure cholesterol.
