Got a hit in high school off a guy named Dave Fleming. Not the guy from ESPN. He went on to finish 2nd in ROY voting.

Pick up basketball game at Dunbar, sunk my only shot. Cameron Mills and Darnell Burton were on the court. Well, the other half of the court. And they weren't technically playing against me. And Darnell wasn't technically even playing at all. But I hit it nonetheless and got props from the guys who couldn't play for the team due to grades or who the "coach didn't like".

I left after the shot because it was time for band practice.

2nd team all-Cincinnati as a pitcher in HS in 1979(yeah, Im that old). Struck out 13 in a 7 inning game. Braves called me on draft night and wondered if I would sign in the 37th round for $500 and then go to rookie ball for $800/month.Declined. Got a D-1 scholarship and pitched at that level. Pitched a 1 hitter against Indiana and lost 1-0. After college, at age 35, struck out Dave Parker in an amateur league(he also homered off me off a hanging curve!). That's it, in a nutshell. All of it a lifetime ago. But good memories. I love baseball.

Was part of a perfect score (15) in a Cross Country meet while in HS. Our top 5 runners (me included) crossed the finish line simultaneously and all tied for first place.

Scored 20 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a basketball game in middle school.

My team lost by 29.

Threw a one-hit shutout in a six inning little league game in my second time ever pitching. Next outing, gave up 8 runs in 1 1/3 innings.

Went to high school at Dunbar for a short stint....yelled at some band nerd to get off the court after he made a shot.
I'll send you one of these.

4 year varsity starter in both baseball and soccer at a decent high school is probably mine.

If you’re talking about 1 moment, probably a hole in one at Rock Creek golf course in DC.

I wasn't fast enough to play the major sports, so bowling was my game growing up and into my 20s. Shot a high game of 270 with 10 strikes, 9 of them in a row.

Played third base in little league with Graig Nettles kid. I wore #9. Nettles himself (while on DL for hepatitis) saw me from stands go 3-4 and barehand and throw out the speedy Donald Johnson trying to bunt home the tying run.

Peaked at the age of 10.

Also note: Catfish Hunters kid was on my team too.

I had an in the park grand slam in little league. I think there were 2 errors on the play (ball flew past the center fielder and rolled to the fence and they overthrew third) but it's not like they really kept track of those at that level. I rounded third and slid in to home just before the tag. Got the game ball for that one.

Diviing catch with one out and 2 on, snap throw to second to double up in the bottom of the fifth.

Hit a gapper to left center that plated the go ahead run with 2 out in the top of the 6th, and pitched a scoreless bottom of the 6th to win.

Still probably one of the greatest performances in Southland Little League baseball history.

Then I ate my suicide sno-cone, went to the pool, and executed a perfect half-gainer off the high dive and finger-banged Susan W******* behind the pool pump building. (Okay,I made that up,but the baseball part was real)

I once got intentionally walked with the bases loaded in the first game of a double-header in the Upper Division of the Paducah Parks and Recreation Men's Slowpitch Softball league after I had blasted three bombs in my first three at-bats. Those pussies were scared I'd do it again, bah gawd, so they took the chickenshit way out and walked me.

My Aaron Harrison-esque nuts swung to and fro as I slow-walked it to first. Felt good.

I didn't start actually wanting to play sports in any sort of organized manner until HS and my HS was pretty good at most everything so I was too far behind the curve unless I just did something that relied on almost entirely athleticism alone like boring track, so I never did anything organized. I always liked just playing, I just never really cared to commit to anything up until that point. Anything else would just be intramurals or pickup stuff.

I did get the D3 college I used to work for on the ESPN Top 10 plays several times though. Not exactly an easy feat when competing at the same time with the NBA, NFL, D1 NCAA FB, and D1 NCAA hoops. One time it went viral and articles popped up about the play on NBC Sports and a few other places.

Unassisted triple play in noncompetirve softball league.

Threw batter out at the plate on a relay from about mid rt centerfield after ball went to the fence. Frozen rope. Same noncomp league. Pure luck. Just turned and threw it as hard as I could. That was to keep the game tied going into a ppd we finished next day. Went on to win championship. I was 40.

Grand slam to dead center in TX older gents baseball league. Had 2 more HRs for season. I was 30.

Beat my step-father for the only time in golf with an 82. He was about a 6 hcp at the time. I was 30.

Beat UL club/varsity volleyball team then got smoked by UK's team 15-2, 15-2. It was for Centre's club team. I was 21.

Won Oklahoma class B state tournament in softball July 94 while home on leave from Germany then, went back to Germany and won the USAREUR unit level Championship played in Grafenwhoer beating a military team out of the Netherlands. The championship game was broadcast all over the Armed Forces network. Made the all tournament team as best pitcher in the tournament. Have since won 10 other state Championships with teams in OK.

Too many to count, but I'd say my biggest individual moment in sports was dropping 20 points in a B-League intramural game at the Seaton Center.

Playing varsity ball, I hit a 3/4 shot at the buzzer. Perfect swish. No backboard.

Unfortunately, we were already down 20+.....
