Why didn't UT go after the ball? There was no one to stop them if someone would've paid attention.

they couldn't advance right? Also, I hate Alabama as much as the next guy, but Gary Danielson stirring the pot at the end was a bit much for me. The reaction from Terrance Cody is what college football is all about, it isn't the pros. All of these excessive celebration calls are taking alot of the character out of college football. Next thing we know, they will be coming out one at time getting their names called instead of running onto the field as a team.

I don't recall one called in such a physical game. One Bama guy jumped into the neutral zone in the first half and it wasn't called and Cody-zilla threw his helmet off on the final play but no calls.

More letters form the SEC office coming this week...

Good question. A half can't end with a defensive penalty.

Two blocked FG's that would have won the game. I wouldn't want to be a lineman on the special teams for Tennessee right now.

Cody popped his helmet off while the ball was still live no matter if the clock had run out or not. Shoulda been 15 yards closer for another try.

Can you imagine what Satan would have done to Cody if that was called and UT made the re-kick?

And there could have been other things happen to make it relevant, like another flag somewhere else on the defense.

It's like a punt after it crosses the LOS. All a penalty would have done is made Bama snap the ball closer to the end zone. Imagine it as a hold on a punt return.
