I mean look at saban and Kirby if you can recruit the defensive head coach thing can work. TAMU can recruit with anyone

I live in ACC country - the biggest problem with the teams (IMO) is inconsistency. Even FSU hasn't been solid week in and week out (see BC game). Clemson is starting to come around, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if they lose to SC.

This whole we’ve got to hire an offensive coach narrative is ridiculous. Defensive coaches can have great offenses & offensive coaches can have great defenses. Hire the best coach you can get. Not the best offensive coach you can get.
