Carp finally catches a break. Great win Cards.!

Scott Rolen almost sent this game into extras with a tremendous play at 3rd that shouldn't of even been close.

I didn't seethe game but looks like Cueto well but no run support. Oh well maybe after the break they will put it together

That's what made it close to me.

And what about John Jay robbing that home run? I'm sold on him as a Big Leager.

Yeah, the Indians are the big surprise this year and get more attention because they are in first place. But the Pirates have as good as shot as the Cardinals, Brewers, or Reds right now. They're above .500- so I guess Maholm isn't going anywhere for now. He pitched pretty well the other day and got the win. I'm happy for him. His record should be better because he gets zero run support.

I think the Cardinals would be running away with this thing if they had a healthy Adam Wainwright. It's pretty remarkable that they are in first with all of the injuries throughout the year and Carpenter have a sub .500 record and no really reliable closer.

That was an unbelievable play by Rolen to make it that close. He is the nimblest 6'4 230 guy on the planet. He actually got a basketball scholly to Georgia, but went the baseball route instead. If he could have avoided the collisions versus the Dbacks and the Dodgers, I have no doubt he would probably still be in St Louis, and would be looking down at Schmidt and Robinson as the best third baseman of all time. If I was Hamilton I would be playing the "I tripped" card, because that slide was stupid

possibly being among the greats if he had stayed healthy. I don't know about staying in St. Louis though. Rolen and LaRussa didn't get along all that well.

Rolen was on fire when he was taken out by Cintron. Unintentional my ***. 17 you Cintron.

What about Pujols coming back off the DL early? That man is truly a machine. I just hope it doesn't cause him to adjust his swing because bad habits are hard to correct.

to make it heal so quickly. Seriously. That could help a lot of people out in life.

I have the same fear about his swing. But, they say that he has always had good grip strength and good range of motion even after the injury- I remember the Cardinals thinking it wasn't fractured at all when it first happened.

He didn't start today- I think they will try to get him a pinch hitting appearance late and then maybe let him play an inning or two in the field.

I remember that play with Cintron. He was a rookie then- I don't think it was intentional because it looked like he was out of control.

The Cub fan on the local sports radio is already wondering what steroids they gave him. Jokingly of course. I'm sure there will be a lot more of that nationally though.

I just hope that one day it doesn't came out that he did indeed take a banned substance.

We (Reds) would be well ahead of the division. Makes me sick that this is one of the best Reds teams we have had in YEARS and we can't catch any good luck. If we pitch well we have no bats and vice versa. They need to pull their heads out of their asses after the break to have any chance of beating out the cards, brewers, and ¿pirates?!?
