What Are Our Chances with AR and TSUN without either DAK or TR?

The CL sports page began today with the prediction that we may have to use Damian Williams as the starter for the AR game. I think that Damian has the potential to be a good quarterback for us but I think that without DAK or TR we are looking at a 4 - 8 season. AK has had a week off and they know this is probably their last opportunity to pick up an SEC win with only us and LSU left on the schedule. I think AR will play their best game of the season against us. What are your thoughts?

I'd say 50/50 for the Arkansas game, they are awful. No chance against OM.

With Williams as our only QB our winning %s for each game are..

@Ark - 20%
vs. OM - 5%

Hopefully TR can go against Ark, and HOPEFULLY Dak is back for OM. That's the only shot we have.

Fortunately, we have a solid defense regardless of QB.

If we do have to start Damien, I say let's just sell out with the Diamond package and run some option ball all game. Switch it up with packages designed for Tubby in wildcat formation. This will at least confuse the D since there is little film with us running that offense. Do that and have the D play their A game and we will be in both games until special teams 17s it up for us...

It would obviously be a huge blow to us, but I don't think our chances would be as bad as many would think. The kid has poise in the pocket and is a better passer of the football than Dak while being a better runner than Tyler. Ole Miss is obviously the tougher of the two opponents, and that would be his second start.

The defense would have to play two excellent games and we'd have to avoid all turnovers.

This is OUR year...to have a freshman step up in the face of injured starters! Surely it could happen for us just once? Of course that would mean a few more years of QB controversy. It's shaping up perfectly...***

This is what kills me with Mullen/Koenning. Would love to see our game plan tailored to our players strengths. Seems lazy to just run the same offense no matter who's back there. Regardless of who is in at QB, I'd be ecstatic if the diamond formation became our default offensive set. We have the running backs to make it work and the play action out of it is much more conducive to pass protection.

I want to believe we are a year away from being very good as is, but in reality I think we're an offensive coordinator and a kicker away from being great this year and next.

So, the fact that we are are a 2 point favorite means they are not awful? We are a 4-6 team on the road down to our 3rd string true freshman QB. I think the fact that we are the favorite speaks volumes to what Vegas thinks of Arkansas.

I think the freshmens will play better once the team is put in his hands. We beat Ark with him.

I haven't been wooly about anything all year but something tells me he is our RAT this weekend.
