BulldawgJunction has an article on him up right now, do we have a shot at him? Judging from his comments it seems like he wants to stay in Mississippi and Deville Smithcommittinghas to help our chances.

He is in Prep school on the east coast and Cuse is after him. I would love for Q to come to STATE, but I think he is expensive.

right now we need to get better inside. We need either Adams and/or O'Bryant more than anything.

O'Bryant is apparently narrowing his list soon and we need to be on it.

Adams is still not out of reach at all. Duke is recruiting like 3 other top tier Centers, and at least 2 of them are better than Adams. I think if they sign one of them, he'll come back around since he knows he can start somewhere.

I see for 2012 we're already offering Stokes, a 5-star out of memphis PF per rivals and Shepard, a 5 star SF from Nevada has listed us as an interest even though we have no offer.

but his name just keeps hanging around. Much like R Sidney* I don't care how he ends up here...just as long as he suits up for us eventually. Same goes for T Adams.

*disclaimer: I still not completely convinced that Sidney will actually play but I am starting to allow myself to slip into that hopeful mode.

So are you saying he's suddenly going to deuce out for Europe when he's finally about to be eligible?

His prep school teammate, Dion Waiters, one of the best players in the class of 2010, is a Cuse commit. Coincidence? Probably not. Especially considering the questions regarding Ross's "handlers".

That said, landing Deville was huge. Not only that, but getting him to commit this early is big-time. It takes a bit of the sting out of the Adams news, plus he will hopefully be a good recruiter for us on the AAU trail. Not everyone wants to play with a great scorer or big man (less attention/opportunities for ME), but EVERYONE wants to play with a great PG, because he can make you even better. Hopefully we'll be able to push that sales pitch.

While O'Bryant is definitely at the top of the want list, I think Hood is the next most important. He has the height and (supposedly) the scoring ability to be a difference maker. I would really love, just once, to have a big-time scorer at G/F. Someone who can create their own shot whenever necessary.
