What are the rules on an NCAA athlete betting on other college games?

Not sure of actual rules, but i know personally that is must be a BIG problem.....
Had a friend of the football team when Croom was there and his roommates were betting on other games and Croom showed up on their doorstep one day and not so politely told them they had to stop or the player had to move out.
