What are you giving and asking for this Christmas?

I haven't done most of my Christmas shopping yet. I usually have it all knocked out before Black Friday, but I'm really behind this year, just because of laziness. :/

I'm asking for this:

I got the 1982 version (the version with the battle damage decals -- I grabbed the image below from a Star Wars site) for Christmas when I was five. I can remember my dad and I playing with it, and I still have it boxed up somewhere.

So what are you giving and asking for this year? =)

Wife and I don’t exchange gifts, we still buy for our son and DIL. We send others Hickory Farms and or candy from a local maker. We do Toys 4 Tots as well.

asking: socks

giving: a bunch of kids stuff. Santa set a bad precedent with the first kid. Gonna take a while to get out from under that.

-asking: socks(lol). Speaking of im peeping a few pair of VK nagrani on ebay, intrigued.

-giving: wife getting the grls some clothes and such. Wife/I getting each other a turntable/powered speakers. Tryna keep it "reasonable" as we're taking a few "big" trips next year.

You've got my attention. I'm very interested to know your selections. Regardless, I want to tell you that whichever TT you chose, buy it w/o internal preamp and spend the extra $130 on a Schiit Audio Mani external. For a MM cartridge, they really can't be beat for the $ and it will make the greatest impact on SQ outside of a cart upgrade.

Wife is getting a gently used, certified pre-owned Janome Horizon Memory Craft 8900QCP b/c I'm not dropping $2500 on a brand-new sewing machine.

I'm asking for (getting myself) a Spyderco Para3 Lightweight. Didn't really want one til Nick Shabazz dubbed it the Spyderco-y-ish Spyderco ever made. Then he called it the Endura 5 and a switch in my head started sparking and money just flew out of my wallet. The other "gift" to myself is a brand-new ruby cantilever with nude contact line diamond stylus from SoundSmith for my Ania cartridge. Not as an upgrade, no, but as a replacement b/c my clumsy *** tore the factory cantilever off with my sleeve a few months back. They;ve had the cart for 14 weeks, should have it back before NY. Been slumming it with a moving magnet all fall...

One kid is getting a new TV and the other a Polaroid camera, but that's not really my area. The females tend to group together on these issues.

We buy for kids and G-kids and give a $1000 per year to a local needy cause. I have told all my family not to get me anything this year. There isn't anything I can think of I want or need......within reason.

Wife always gets me a bunch of gifts i don’t need nor want, even though i tell her i don’t want or need anything. but worse, she expects me to buy her several gifts and would never forgive me if i didn’t.
I hate shopping and have no idea what to get her anyway.

So, if anybody reading this can offer any suggestions i’d sure appreciate it.

Seriously though, we are going to Vegas from Dec. 17-23 and are going to take in the two UK games. That is our present to each other.

If you're giving 6, 8 seems to be the popular number.

Already bought myself a TV on Black Friday. Getting a new cheap projector for the bedroom (nothing fancy). Don't know what other oddball stuff I end up with. Probably socks and underwear (seem to get those every year). Got the wife and daughter both an Apple watch. My daughter also got some Air Pods. Got my son a PS4. Plus some smalls for everyone.
