This topic needs shaken up a bit.

Good morning, bitches. Just an unreal performance, the bassist and guitarist are so locked in. Great Saturday morning background music while having a coffee and thinking about Spring.

And for the audiophiles:

What game would that be?

Oh yeah, it's the guy who posted Vertigo by U2 and Boulevard of Broken F'n Dreams as top songs of the 2000s. 🤣 Hello, hello!

Your opinion on any music put out this century is worthless. Now scurry on back to the political thread.

Bourbon and Beyond lineups have been announced. If I go, it will probably be on Saturday.
I'd be a definite lock to go if The Waterboys were included on Saturday. They are a fabulous, cosmic band ... in my opinion.

Waterboys are Sunday. Good song there. Never heard of them. This is an absolute killer B&B lineup. I'm absolutely loving the Friday and Saturday lineup. Phish, Joe Bonamassa, Muscadine Bloodline, Trampled by Turtles, Sturgill Simpson, Jack White, The Pixies, 49 Winchester. Yeah, I'm going both days.

That is a new song, only out 3 weeks.
Pretty good stuff for a 66 year-old, not dated. Mike Scott is an incredible talent.

Be sure to check out Kelsey Waldon … 100% Kentucky girl … good honest music, with a smile. Her band is excellent, too !!
I hope you ENJOY the hell out of the festival and I further hope the weather is perfect !!

Revisiting this album.

What an absolute masterpiece. It's pretty much a perfect album, even if you don't dig on Stevie (which I find hard to believe, if you really love music.)

If you like to dabble with mushrooms at an “introspective” dose then I would highly recommend putting this on after the “come up” has started. You can thank me later. 🤩😎

Songs in the Key was a staple of my junior high days. Slightly older sisters dominated/had the stereo.

The late 70's was really the birth of music when lots pf genres began their way into the mainstream. I'm not sure any other era can match what was coming at us at that time.

If you like Joni Mitchell, you need to (if you haven’t already) check out Miles of Aisles.
Yes. Great album. My very most favorite song, by anybody/anywhere is "Down to You" ... brilliant in every way, in my opinion.
I saw Joni Mitchell & The L.A. Express at Convention Center in Louisville on 07/31/74:
  • Joni Mitchell - Guitar, Piano & Dulcimer
  • Tom Scott - Woodwinds & Reeds
  • Roger Kellaway - Piano
  • Larry Nash - Piano (replaces Roger Kellaway)
  • Robben Ford - Electric Guitar
  • Max Bennett - Bass
  • John Guerin - Drums & Percussion

Currently bingeing on a band called Henry’s Funeral Shoe. A power duo (2 brothers) out of Wales. Love their energy. Definitely love the guitar tone and riffs.

This one is made loud to be played loud. Especially when in the car. Keeping listening until at least the 0:50 mark and you’ll understand what I mean.

Band called Momma (might have mentioned them in the past). They have a new album dropping. FFO: 90s Alt-rock, Pumpkins, Silver Sun Pickups. They REALLY nail the female grunge sound from this time.

Edit: It's also hysterical their new drummer looks like Billy Corgan haha

The supernatural piano stylings of Big Oscar Peterson.

This entire thing is great, but things start to get surreal at the 5:30 mark.

Rumor has it that the piano had to take more than a year off with bed rest to recover from what Oscar did to it.

It is unfathomable to me that Oscar is consistently rated outside of the Top 5 greatest jazz pianists of all time.
