That is a new song, only out 3 weeks.
Pretty good stuff for a 66 year-old, not dated. Mike Scott is an incredible talent.

Be sure to check out Kelsey Waldon … 100% Kentucky girl … good honest music, with a smile. Her band is excellent, too !!
I hope you ENJOY the hell out of the festival and I further hope the weather is perfect !!

She opened for Dwight Yoakum at The Amp at Logstill in '23. She was good.

I sure miss Paul Kantner and Martin Balin. I feel very lucky to have seen them as many times as I did over the years.
They performed throughout their entire lives, thankfully.

"Would you like go up on A-Deck with me? ... "

Will be seeing Branford Marsalis at EKU Center for the Arts in a couple of months to finalize the brothers bucket list. Caught Wynton and JLCO a while back in NYC.

Through my years I’ve listened to a lot. Been through many stages of music, like we all have. But I never listened in depth to southern rock, always enjoyed it when on radio etc. but I’ve never had a deep dive.

Where should I dive first????

Nonetheless, heard a snippet of this on tik tok or instagram the other day and loved it.

Currently bingeing on Black Pistol Fire. A power duo consisting of a couple Canadians that have been buddies since kindergarten.

Currently bingeing on one of my favorite classic rock bands, Thin Lizzy. Loved them back in the day. Still do. I think they're criminally underrated as a band. And why aren't they in the RnR HOF?

Of course most people know them because of their album Jailbreak, and the two ubiquitous hits from that album, "The Boys Are Back in Town" and the title cut "Jailbreak". But my two favorite tracks from that great album are "Warriors"...

And this killer, "The Emerald". One of the first bands I really got into that employed two lead guitar players. The call and response between Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham beginning at about the halfway point gets me every time. I learned my best air guitar skills while listening to this one.

Then there's "The Rocker" from earlier in their career when they had just one lead player, Eric Bell.

Jailbreak and Johnny the Fox are close to perfect albums. Didn't know much about them apart from what you'd hear on radio for decades, which wasn't much. Got into vinyl, bought those two, and immediately thought, "holy ****."

The drummer on this Stevie Wonder cover, using only a kick, snare, hi-hat, and a crash; makes me want to just toss my drum kit in the trash and quit.
