...Watching MSU football in the fall. We may not be better, but we'll be different and just that is a welcomed change.

2. Watching MSU baseball in the spring. (see explanation re: MSU football)

3. James Cameron's Avatar. Let's face it. The man has already directed the greatest movie ever made AND the most financially successful movie ever made. The hype surrounding this film after a 13 year hiatus will be staggering.

1. Making a most anticipating in 2010 list.

2. Seeing whether or not there is any improvement to the football and baseball teams.

3. LOST finally ending. I gotta know what the 17 has been going on all along.

4. The start of the NFL season and the belief that THIS could be the Saints year.

I really got tired of the bad baseball moreso than anything and the annoying sheep that supported Polk like he could do no wrong even when we were getting our brains beat out 20-0.

Back in the 80's and 90's we were the most fundamentally sound baseball team in the SEC- much moreso than even LSU, which is why I think we had a lot of success against them even when they were winning NC's. The difference is LSU had Bertman who was a WAY better manager than Polk and wasn't afraid to make a pitching change before the seventh inning or let his teams play with some emotion.

A lot of people have forgotten, but Polk used to be a lot more aggressive than what he was late in his career. I remember us pulling off a delayed double steal of home on Ole Miss that helped give us the momentum to win us the Mayor's Trophy in 1997. It was an absolutely brilliant call and it was timed perfectly. That and Richard Lee and Adam Piatt's moonshots that probably landed in Eastover, hopefully in some Ole Miss lawyer's window. I remember Adam Walker threw a belt high BP fastball and I swore I saw Piatt smile right before he absolutely unloaded on that ball. Now THAT's baseball.

1. Baseball just to see what kind of new life our baseball program will have. Its going to be a very highly anticipated season besides the fact everyone knows how little talent we have.

2. Super Bulldog Weekend. Can't wait to watch baseball and get a glimpse of football for next year. Also the weekend will be packed and plenty of fun parties and concerts.

3. Just having the thought of MSU being competitive in football has me dying to watch a game. I will give anything to have an exciting season in football even if that includes winning only 4 or 5 games. As long as we lose the right way and not the Croom way.

4. ... and what will Greg Byrne do next?

A new baby is coming around the first of September for me and my wife. Just in time for football. Can you believe my luck not to mention how hot my wife will be. A late summer kid. I just broke one of my cardinal rules. No babies or weddings during football season. I'll never watch Octopussy again after this.

I'm thinking we will be much better and more entertaining for sure. A 500 record may be the best we can hope for though. I'm not the biggest baseball fan in the world but looking forward to that as well. Haven't been to a baseball game in years but going this year. Probably have to make a stop by Little Dewey's.

It's going to be nice not yelling at Polk's dumbass all season. Word on the street is Cohen has a secret weapon that Polk would never use. I think they called it bunting(sp? not sure if this is a word) So it should be interesting, especially now that we know we are not going to throw at least one game of a three game series. We will actually try to win all three.....nice.

Not for the fable of the treasure Stiffler is after

Not for the guys with whips who are able to hit a person's knuckles from 50 feet

Not for the one handed shotgun sniping skills during the last action scene

But mostly for the opening scene, where the Rock is going into the club to get some insurance from a football player. The player, is surrounded by his teammates, whom are linebackers from Ohio State, Linemen from USC, running backs from Oklahoma, defensive ends from Notre Dame, etc. The player himself? Well, he's a QB. From THE M-State University, and apparently he's done well on the pro level as he has a ring. An M-State QB went pro and has a pro football title ring? That is too far-fetched for me.
