What are your expectations for the baseball team this year?

To get away from recruiting and basketball ********, let's look a little ahead to baseball. In Cohen's third year I'm expecting/hoping for two things and two things only: 1) Make it to the SEC Tournament & 2) Make a NCAA regional. I really don't think this is too much to ask for, especially for a coach that is now in his 3rd year, but last year really didn't leave us many positives coming into this year. Am I way off base here, should I just go ahead and expect yet another miserable year, or do we actually have a shot at the a regional this year?

and for the rest of team not to strike out looking as much as last year.

Last year's teamwould winat least 5 more games, based on this year's schedule alone.

Cohen is going to play a lot of guys early, so don't be surpised if we don't start 20-0.

A healthy Routt and Stratton should win us 12 SEC games. Who will step up on Sunday?

Sometimes "that's baseball" actually applies. Something like 16-4 is probably more realistic for the first 20 games.

I still think 30-26 for the year.

In my mind, we have too many questions on the pitching staff, we don't have a closer yet, and we have a lot of freshmen, who while they are talented, they haven't played an inning of SEC baseball yet.

I do think that we will be better last year, and that we will see progress. If we have injuries, we are DOA.

for now, I'll give him a break if he has a winning record and gets to the tournament next year.
