Guessing she'll be out in a year or so, you know she is loving this like we are.Wonder if pitino will get this lady put in prison ,Ike he did his mistress.
Just reading some UL forums, this is the way a lot of them want it to go. They had success with this strategy in the Sypher situation and they think they can turn the tables again. Unfortunately for them this one is out of the control of the corrupt local machine. The NCAA will make an example of them. Even if 2013 isn't stripped, it will be tainted.Wonder if pitino will get this lady put in prison ,Ike he did his mistress.

More like a hump year.is this a "bridge year" for ul fans?
I agree with most of what you say, from an NCAA perspective but Pitino COULD and probably SHOULD have been let go over the incident. What they managed to do was turn Pitino and UL into the victim.I don't think they comprehend that putting her in jail, whether it happens or not, isn't really going to help them. It isn't going to make the NCAA go away or make the facts change. The Sypher situation was completely different. It didn't involve the University, per se, or recruits or anything else the NCAA would care about. It was just Pitino did something stupid/immoral, then she did something even more stupid by trying to extort him over it, then lying about it. At the end of the day, Pitino looked like a sleaze and she ended up in jail, but at no point was anything going to happen to UL because of it.
For asking who will replace Rick, very thinned skinned on that board
give me time to mull over it..[laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing]Tell us how you really feel.

Oh I don't disagree about Pitino. I'm not sure they managed to turn him into the victim in anyone's eyes but their own fans though. And to be totally honest, he was a victim of blackmail, even if he was stupid to put himself in that situation. If UL had any shame they probably would have fired him then. The NCAA being involved in the current situation is a whole different can of worms though.
They may try to silence him, but it doesn't matter. Too many people are involved, and the press has gotten into it now. McGee certainly isn't the only witness. McGee isn't even the only witness who can talk about the money. The NCAA already has confirmation through DaQuan Lyle and other visiting athletes that the allegations in Mistress Powell's book are true. So the violations are already confirmed. Eventually, McGee will have to talk, because the alternatives for him are worse. He will be subject to criminal indictment. The appearance of impropriety alone might be enough to force a housecleaning at UL, but there is still much more to come. There are 2 big questions left. Where did the money come from, and how many UL sports are implicated? Powell herself can probably answer both, and she isn't the only 1. In an investigation like this, you start with the little fish and give them a good reason to roll over on the big fish. Usually, cover-ups get people in more trouble than the original transgression itself. The fact that the NCAA started their investigation so fast bodes very poorly for UL, and for Jurich. Typically, ADs do not survive a media driven case like this. How much money do you think McGee has been offered by Jurich and Pitino this past week to keep his mouth shut? Enough that he will never have to work again.
I don't remember hearing anything like that, but this would be an excellent time to start a rumor.Wasn't there a rumor way back that rick banged a uofl cheerleader?
Don't forget, Pitino used funds to give Tim syphers a raise/promotion/bonus to hush up Karen Syphers. What school would allow that?
That was stated as fact during the trial
"This problem goes beyond NCAA violations." I can see Louisville fans saying, "Yes, leave the NCAA out of it. We've got a much bigger cultural problem"
did uofl not hire some sort of compliance person from unc sometime back. if so then they knew then
Are Izzo and Coach K 45? I'd say their recruiting is going ok, how old are Cal and Self?Pitino is a 63-year old screamer. Replace him with a 45-year old up-and-comer and you'll see recruiting trend way upward. Recruiting is what does in all the old guys. Recruits think "if you don't have the energy for me, why should I put out all my energy for you".
