Show us one instance where the player or coach lied to the NCAA to cover up their misdeeds and when exposed the NCAA said "that's OK, he just lied to protect himself, we all would".

This issue is a direct violation of the bylaws. There is no gray area for prostitutes. Doesn't matter if they wore bikinis or not. They were provided and paid for by the staff of ul.
I've never said what they have done is not illegal and didn't warrant punishment from the NCAA. All I am saying is I don't think what happened makes a player ineligible, which forfeits games they played in. If it is all proven to be true, I think it would be things such as loss of scholarship, possible post-season ban, etc. I just don't think they will retroactively go back and make them forfeit games.

Should we start a day count for the last time that Pitino has slept after hearing all this? Not one of his trusted staff saw this ever happen. Time to put Masiello under the bright light to see what he knows.

And is McGee no longer using his twitter account? 3100+ people awaiting his next comment.

This might be why UL strategy mirrors UNC's actions.

"The University of Louisville has approved the hiring of Leslie Strohm as the university’s new general counsel and vice president for strategy beginning in February. Strohm has held a similar position at the University of North Carolina since 2003, where her legal strategy was at the center of one of the worst-ever cases of academic fraud involving student athletes."

A couple of things to consider:
Consideration doesn't have to be money, it can be anything of value (cash, benefits such as free parking garage, or sex)

Also, the burden of proof is also just a preponderance of the evidence (51%) - not beyond a reasonable doubt as with criminal allegations.

Therefore, it doesn't seem beyond the realm of possibilities that UL could be in some jeopardy.

I seriously think that whole bunch needs to have a "Dr Phil" day...Just heard the new bridge will be open by Christmas..Are they doing this anticipating the "jumper" crowd? Maybe to avoid a heavy overload on the older bridges? Do the bridge people know something we don't?

NCAA stripped UMASS and MEMPHIS of their final four appearances. Why is no one talking about Louisville having their last two final fours 2012 (ff), 2013 (nc)?. 2013 was a NC, so everyone says NCAA doesn't 'strip' titles. But they will "strip" a final four. Not sure what it is not being discussed. Those players received impermissible benefits, and more...and were ineligible.

Do you understand how ironic your statement is? Who was the coach of both UMASS & MEMPHIS? Be humble my friend. What goes around, comes around.

the coach was john calipari, who by the way, if you had paid attention, was not implicated in either incident at either school. you might as well suck it up like a big boy. or girl

A championship banner has never been stripped. I'm not sure the NCAA will in this case. We'll see.

Sadly I think this is the answer. The reason UMASS and Memphis got stripped is because they didn't win. The NCAA will strip a runner up but not a champion. It's a really sad standard they have but it is what it is. If you cheat and win they will find some less meaningful way to punish you. Cheat and lose and they will bury you.

It sounds like Louisville should have paid T-Will to keep his mouth shut. If they paid him anything it wasn't enough. His name is actually in the book.

Didn't Cow even cheer for the other team last year when they made a basket in one of their games? Yeah, Cow is a guy I'd want representing my school. Sorry ncaacardfan, I'd much rather have TWill than Cow speaking for my school. TWill didn't get two schools put on probabtion or cuss on national tv night after night. That was all Cow.
THIS should get him a lifetime ban on RR, and a cameo on the next "dumb and dumber"

Oh my… I just read the TMZ link (I've reposted it here for those who missed it above). What a wonderful representative of the university!

What a rant:

"Nobody's gonna pay attention to a b*tch searching for money. So you make up stuff, and you put out all these allegations. If my name's on anything, provide proof."

"At the end of the day when the smoke clears, she's going to go to jail. You need to be put under the f**king jail. You need to be put in a black f**king hole in Langley."

She needs to be put in a black hole in Langley?! [roll]

I have no idea what you are talking about. I was making fun of the Louisville Men thing earlier in this thread yesterday. I know Matt is pretty much the tip of the spear when it comes to hating on UL and good on him but I have never listened to his show.

Many years ago Matt actually wanted for me to write for his board. Wasn't interested and he has some decent talent there. Not like me, but decent.

The folks over at Sea of Blue have courted me a little bit a few years ago as well. As writers go, I am as good as there is in UK circles and they know it.

So, you're kind of the MF'n Elvis of writers.

Billy Reed: Author of scathing SI report owes UofL an apology

"Sports Illustrated has a huge brand name. I am one of the guys that helped build that brand name. Hopefully that brand name stands for excellence and integrity and believability and good reporting."

If SI's brand stands for those qualities how in the hell did Billy's hack work contribute?

He complains that SI did not investigate or research whatsoever, yet were totally convinced of their conclusion.

Two minutes later Reed states that he does not believe the accusations and that the writer of the book and the publisher did not do any investigation or research, just took the word of some prostitute...

Someone introduce Billy to the intranets highway and that there Googly thing - maybe he can read for himself that the publishers attempted to get UL's side of things, and oh yeah, they hired Certified Fraud and Investigations...

"I am not a part of that. To Louisville I am f**king Elvis Presley. So why would I pay anybody for anything?"

"Motherf**kers pay me for pictures and handshakes. And that's not being cocky, 'cause I don't play around with my blessing. I'm very honored to be in that position in Louisville. Louisville is the greatest city, the fans are great, Rick Pitino is great."

He's not finished ... Williams says Katina Powell -- the woman behind the book -- is nothing more than a thirsty, money hungry liar looking for a pay day.

Terrence says he's got a team of lawyers evaluating his legal options -- and says he's also furious that his former coach Rick Pitino and his close friend Andre McGee are being dragged through the mud.

"Andre's the most kind hearted person ever. And Rick Pitino, he's Rick Pitino! A Hall of Famer, a legend ... he don't need to buy any kid p*ssy to get him to commit to the University of Louisville. It's a privilege to play there."

Well there you have it, it's all a made up thing. No way "Elvis" ever paid for it. Wondering just when the motherphuckers were paying him for those handshakes and pictures? Do we need another investigation? Can someone close to the situation just tell "Elvis" to sit down and be quiet?
