Again I say, you guys are counting chickens that may not be there.

Fan base disregards any evidence to the contrary, wraps itself in the flag, blindly supports Pitino? Check.

UofL President disregards the litany of excrementable examples of roguish athletics department and pledges full support of Jurich? Check.

UofL Board chair disregards inconvenient facts and history, says his coaches have his full support? Check.

Media doing their part to tamp this down, both local (Billy "it's a set up, SI should apologize" Reed) and national (Forde, via conspicuous silence about his beat school)? Check.

Entire Louisville community fully embracing "win at all costs" mentality, and casting Rick and UofL as victims? Check.

UK fans taking for granted "heads will roll", Rick is done, Jurich is done, the NCAA will lay the hammer? Check.

Everthing is proceeding as I have foreseen. Haaaaaaahaaaaaahaaaa......

Sounds identical to a current political party.

Had to.

...the fact that RP got TWO standing ovations yesterday says all you need to know about their fanbase.

It's hard to describe to anyone how brain-washed/bad/annoying the UL fan base is w/out said person actually living in Louisville. Jurich runs this town and there is smoke coming from every conceivable corner of the UL campus or any contract they are involved, yet the UL faithful declare not even a single match-strike exists, let alone a fire. It's unlike anything I've ever seen and we, the BBN, can only hope that something happens to reveal the complete farce that is Jurich and the UL athletic department.

As Director of UofL Basketball Operations, wouldn't Andre McGee have had a few secretaries, interns, etc. that worked for him? Maybe someone needs to contact them and find out if McGee asked them to do anything to facilitate all of this.
Some additional points that remain unaddressed...
The money to pay for all this did NOT come from McGee's checking account.
Someone other than McGee was involved as clearly stated in Powell's book.
No mention has been made about the administrative employees at Minardi Hall thru all this.

Seems to me a lot of pieces of the puzzle remain missing or overlooked.

Nothing is really missing. Lousiville coaches probably turned a blind eye to the inner happenings and the money more than likely flowed from someone associated with UL. The prostitutes happened, the proof is there, and Pitino ADMITTED that it took place.

Even if Pitino didn't know, it doesn't matter. Before the erosion of morals and ethical standards in America, this would be a shut case, but the effect of an "anything goes society" is the threshold of evidence needed to convict someone of wrongdoing (especially ethically)grows substantially. We cannot even define the word "wrong" anymore. Just listen to the Lousiville fan base.

There's no doubt that UNC and Louisville are surviving because of the times we are currently in. The NCAA is a running scared institution. People don't care about ethical rules, and the NCAA doesn't want to enforce ethical rules that people don't care about.

Today's L1C4 post of the day....

"V.J King will be a star and he'll show his character by sticking with us. If this ends up hurting us with any other recruits its on the media for overblowing this minor story. Sickening really how the media is running our name through the mud."

Two posts later, another Card fan says he hears King is looking to decommit.

This is like three months of Christmas.

100 is like the sound barrier. Surely it can't be broken. Who among us is Chuck Yeager?
