What makes this so great is all the crap UK fans heard about whats gonna happen since Calipari got here..Just a matter of time they said..Fact is ..when you keep peeking over a fence to watch for things to happen you never see the septic tank flooding your own yard...

People saying Pitino is done have not lived in Louisville. Every local media outlet here is covering for him. He will clean it up and take the part of the savior. Just the way it works here.

Real justice should be that Jurich and Pitino leave in disgrace. They were and are in charge. But that is a fairy tale. However, the program is going to get something bad.

Like it or not, but Pitino is a part of UK history and I get no pleasure in seeing a hall of fame coach disgraced. I am actually a little worried about Pitino. This could be the last straw for him. I think the journalist are taking some cheap shots and reveling in the irony Billy Minardi Hall. What was supposed to be a great honor for his brother-in-law will instead be forever linked to this disgusting scandal.

From ESPN story: "Powell, 42, details nearly two dozen stripping and sex parties from 2010-14 inside Billy Minardi Hall, the on-campus dorm for athletes and other students named for Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino's late brother-in-law".

Very true. No matter what comes out from the national media/investigators/NCAA, the UL fanatics and local media (essentially a UL propaganda dept) will claim that Jurich is a god and Pitino is 100% innocent. These two can do no wrong in this city. I only hope that the investigation crosses over into some of the utterly shady financial dealings that go on between UL and other parties in this city (see the YUM Center and UL Shelby Campus land development deals) and somehow get Jurich in that manner.

I'll take pleasure enough for both of us. It's like getting divorced and your ex-wife marries your bitter rival down the street you hate. I'm going to enjoy the fall and step on them on the way by. Don't you think for a moment they wouldn't be feeling this way about UK. Life is good.

hate to say it but i think he's done. ongoing for 4 years and he knew nothing? bbn fans are going to miss the rivalry when he's gone. L1C8 won't be quite as sweet.

As long as all the dirt is kept in Louisville, but now that it's national, it's out of the local media's hands...

Rick is done!

There's been a confirmed money transfer from McGee and Katina.

ESPN has confirmed it along with the text messages.

Loserville media can spin it any way they want, Ricky is toast.

No way they get out of this. This was the nail.

Plus, the Scout Forums for UofL are down. LOL.

5 former players came forward...I can't wait to watch their fanbase turn on them and run them through the mud like they do every recruit who doesn't go to them

he must step down because he is at the helm of the program, beyond that i don't expect him to have to answer for much. someone here said it was probably like wooden turning his head at ucla. he obviously knew something, but i'd be surprised if he was directly involved. doesn't matter unfortunately.

the fall from grace seems so harsh. but he's prideful enough that he'd bounce back somewhere. it just won't be on tv or at a major program. he shouldn't retire imo. that would make him look even worse. he should step down and tell the ncaa everything he knows.

Watching Goodman on Mike and Mike.....WOW is all I can say.

This is going to get incredibly ugly for UL. Mike, Mike, and Cris Carter all said Pitino has to be gone, just has to be.

Goodman agreed but said he still thinks Pitino makes it through this. Says Jurich is going to back him and do all he can to keep him. Goodman said UL thinks they can make this go away.

So all the shoes are starting to drop. Original hope to let McGee fall on his sword has left town. Next play is Pitino sticks to Shultze's "l know nothing" defense and takes $20 mil buyout to retire and holds firewall for Jurich and Ramsey. UL better hope national media and NCAA is content. Wishful thinking that local media and government oversite would like to shine some light of day on shenanigans.

The opening line by Mike Greenburg said it all . . ..

"Parents, if you have small children in around you might want to have them do something else for he next ten minutes while we discuss the Louisville situation?".

ESPN is now having to warn parents before talking about Louisville Basketball. It don't get no better than that.

The World may never know...

"All five of the ex-players or recruits spoke with Outside the Lines on the condition of anonymity, citing a fear of retribution from Louisville fans, players and coaches."
