They really didn't go to him much. They asked him to review the book and he gave a brief summary, stating the charges all together could seem believable but they're also not a slam dunk. He mentioned Rick was surprisingly and uncharacteristically humble. He went on a short rant about an increasing number of Louisville fans are tired of hearing about scandals (Petrino and Karen Sypher) and he wondered how much longer the current culture at Louisville could continue.

Matt Jones hinted a couple times this weekend that more was coming out that card fans could not ignore. Didn't here that talk on today's show. Wonder if it fell through or he's holding out.

No matter what, McGee will end up being the scapegoat for all this and diving on the sword to protect Pitino. I can assure you the UL Escort Foundation has already met with McGee to ascertain what it will take to buy his silence and not incriminate Pitino. McGee will end up an executive at either Papa Johns, NTS, Brown Forman or Wendy's in Louisville. Or Jurich will hire him to help his son fundraise. McGee will be taken care of since he won't be able to coach anywhere again.....although Jurich does believe in second chances so maybe he could get back on the coaching staff.
Don't believe Matt knows anything. The authors of the book have said they have more, but I don't think Matt knows anything that we don't at this point. I think the hint is in reference to the Authors claims they'll release more.

Yeah, was interesting as Matt (a UK fan) was put on that show. I felt like Lee went out of his way to cut him off or not go to him as much...I get sticking with the ESPN guys over the outsider, but he definitely did not get as much air time (at least what I saw). They also got on Matt for not beginning every sentence with "allegedly" lol. I think they were going over the top to not the "anti-UL guy" go on too many rants and take way from the supposed neutral aspect of the show.

I think the Sypher scandal may have actually increased Pitino/Jurich's confidence in how easily they can control a story within the local media and keep things they don't want to leak covered up. After living in Louisville the past 10+ years, it's easy to see who runs this town and it's not the Mayor.

If this really is true, then UL basketball is likely done. They've cheated before and were put on probation in the late 90s but this is on another level. Not only is there an impermissible benefit element to this but also a criminal element to it and it would all be directly tied to a staff member of the team. Pitino looked and spoke like a man that knew they did something wrong. It's one thing to give a kid cash or pay for something like a hotel, flight or food that you typically hear about when programs cheat. But to pay a west end ho who also pimped out her daughters for a recruit and players is just another level of low that only UL could pull off. Everyone from ESPN to Fox News is covering it.

Just read this thread after being camping the entire weekend with very little to no cell service. I came home late Sunday night and had work at 7:30 AM. It took me about 5 hours or about 10 mins a page. I have done little to no work today....Couple of things:

Just saw where Forde did a podcast and said that this could cost Pitino his job. Like rats off a sinking ship when Pat starts to abandon Rick. Prediction: This is just the tip of the iceberg. For Forde to criticize U of L, more crap is gonna hit the fan.
I'm going to have to change my original opinion on this. This sounds more like Death Penalty now, than UL skating out of this.
