Rick had that same surprised look when he found out that the Minardi dorm had been turned into a strip club/brothel.

How about bringing in UNC compliance person to keep things on the up&up after their cheating scandal was exposed?
Actually she was hired after people started questioning the Yum Center Lease terms when it became obvious the City was going to come up short on the Tax revenue.

I sincerely hope that if UK is ever involved in a scandal of this magnitude that us fans hold UK's feet to the fire and not hide our head in the sand as UL parrots are. I love our program but I won't hold back if they ever did something like this. And honestly I think most UK fans would hold them accountable as well.

There was also this: Terrance Jennings and Jerry Smith arrested in Indiana of all places at a Louisville Alumni gathering.

New details continue to emerge in the arrests of two U of L basketball players after a fight at a bar inside the Kye's II event center. Terrence Jennings and Jerry Smith were initially charged with resisting law enforcement. The additional charges are battery on a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct.

"As far as the disposition of these cases and how these cases will be handled, my hope is like any other case," said Steve Stewart, Clark County Prosecutor.

In the police report released Tuesday, investigators say an off-duty Jeffersonville officer and off-duty Harrison County Corrections Officers were working security, for the University of Louisville alumni gathering.

Hundreds of people were inside and on the patio area, when a fight broke out at the bar and moved to the front door. The report says Jennings was shoving and pushing. When officers tried to calm him down, he began fighting the officers, and one used a taser on him twice.

The report says Smith then approached, asking what he could do to help Jennings, he was told to leave, but refused. The report says Smith pushed one of the Harrison County officers, and after that he was arrested.

"I know it's attracting a lot more media attention, I hope it will not be anymore harsher or anymore lenient than any other case we have," said Stewart.

In a statement released Tuesday through his lawyer, Terrence Jennings offered an apology. Jennings said he was minding his own business and was provoked and looks forward to showing everyone he's a person of integrity. Smith's attorney says, the events that took place last Saturday are clearly not an indication of what they are, as people, students and athletes.

All of the charges, resisting law enforcement, battery on a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct are misdemeanors. Both players are due in court, next week.

Agreed. I also think any program would get back to normal basketball operations more quickly by cleaning house and starting fresh.

The BOT investigation might be flying under the radar a little but it could (emphasize COULD) be trouble for the whole dirty nest.
Yes. As we've heard since Watergate, follow the money. WHOREGATE is one issue, the attention needs to be on the potential source. Think bigger.

Of course, as Cady said to Jones, news that a organization is investigating itself isn't really very promising. The Foundation is paying the law firm doing the investigating, after all...

When you have a coach who has to put 'treat women with respect' as one of their rules, you know something is wrong there. That shouldn't even need to be taught to 18-22 year old men. I bet Stoops doesn't need to write that on the wall for all to see. Because he recruits guys with the integrity to know that is a given.

Easy there. I don't disagree about Louisvilles culture but I get uneasy when people say it can't happen here. You don't know what an 18 year old may do to embarrass us.

You gotta love Cue Card aka BC_1978. First he says:

With Calipari, it's more complex just because of the network of people he has put in place and how his network is organized. He runs his basketball program much like a Don runs his Mafia family (without all the killings mind you). He will ALWAYS maintain his distance from anything and everything which could link him directly to cheating. I'm not talking about Al Capone. I'm talking about John Calipari who is just a basketball coach but he understands how to play the recruiting game as well as any coach in the country, and that is NOT a compliment.

Then later in the same thread:

As far as the current "scandal" going on at UofL, I have no answers nor do I have any excuses. The only thing I'm going to say about it is I won't be falling on any swords defending Pitino like you always do defending Calipari. I will wait for ALL of the information to come out, be confirmed then speak my mind on it.

He blindly criticizes Calipari yet he will "wait for all the information to come out" regarding the Louisville scandal/Pitino.

The car fans don't even know how hypocritical they are. There coach is also hypocritical. He is married his "best friend's sister) he cheated on her but wants everyone to believe that he is upset because illicit stuff is happening at the dorm that is named after his best friend. That is very hypocritical and he has followers that think the same way. Smh at dumb people!

Saying they are not that stupid...They are that stupid

It borders on mental handicap though. A city full of them? There has to be something in their water or something. Maybe putting out Nazi type hypnosis over TV airwaves? It's just so hard for me to believe that a whole fanbase of a school can be short bus, slobbering, window lickers. There has to be an explanation I guess is what I'm trying to say. A reason there so mentally deficient. Like an infected gene pool maybe?

Pitino, Petrino and most likely the majority of the leadership at UL are morally bankrupt but basing an article around a woman who founded the National Coalition against Violent Athletes is a tad empty. Of course she was going to be as negative as possible. It's good for business and they are currently an easy target. And bringing up a visit 9 years ago? Bit of a stretch for me...

Plenty of great articles out there showing the lack of morals within UL so applauding this one is just blindly cheering anything against UL. Things a currently too easy for us to be doing that.

I think cronin could be a possibility. Unless they want to steer clear of any pitino connection at all. Cincy is a similar, urban kind of program. Depends. On how much they really wanna clean house.

Ex-Louisville player describes stripper visits as 'dancing in bathing suits'

A former University of Louisville men's basketball player confirmed an earlier report that strippers visited the Billy Minardi Hall dormitory "one or two times," but said nothing more than dancing transpired.

How do you not remember if it was 1 or 2 times? I can see 4 or 5...

"It wasn't no $10,000. I know that much,"

No need to add commentary to this quote...

I don't know how anyone survives this...

It'll be interesting to see if rats start jumping the ship...

If Tommy Turtleneck takes an NFL front office gig, that means the heat is coming...Pitino may "retire" at the end of this year...both are probably working it out under the table now...they'll agree to slither out with out a lot of fuss in the middle of the night...and the athletics program will burn in their wake...the next coach and future players will be the ones who suffer...because the NCAA is incompetent and slow...

Thanks for sharing, however, it is a different and interesting viewpoint to the situation.

Is there an approved media source list or subject matter limitation guideline we need to be made aware of before sharing any other articles?

And I gave a different (probably not interesting) viewpoint of the article. Sort of what we're here for right?

BueWorldOrder, I believe it was, made some good points in a thread on Louisville's site asking where's the book that details all the accusations KerryRhodes made about Bledsoe's grades being changed and the "$200,000 evidence" against Anthony Davis. Louisville fans gave him a well thought out and rational answer.

Just kidding, they deleted his post. Wish I would have thought to grab a screenshot.

With all due respect, I did not take your comment as simply a viewpoint on the article.

Your quote:

"Plenty of great articles out there showing the lack of morals within UL so applauding this one is just blindly cheering anything against UL."

Seemed to be a shot at Erik for posting the article and the others here who have commented.

Because, according to you, we are simply "blindly cheering against UL" (not that there is anything wrong with that either).
