Oddly, Karina Powell is the most honest person in the whole story. The Sexiest Athletics Dept in the land and their LilBrothel Truthers are dishonest as the day is long.

True. Whether they're named strippers or hookers, these are clear violations of NCAA rules. Services were rendered and extra benefits were received.

Now, if this is considered prostitution, there are some additional problems that are presented, which could include criminal charges. But, in regard to the NCAA, strippers and hookers are close to the same.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading you ***** slap the Tards over and over in that thread on their board. Kudos.

Might've been better for UofL had the unnamed player said one of the players had paid full price for the strippers himself rather than the unnamed player saying "I dunno man, we just supplied the Washingtons. Dunno who supplied the Benjamins."

He didn't quite call it a farce, he doubted the credibility but he didn't completely rule it out. He also said it was trouble if even a fraction was true. Remember Terry Miners is the same guy who got fired from the Louisville Coaches show for speaking out loudly about the new tickets/seating plans in the Yum Center. For a few months there he was unwelcome at anything Louisville Cardinal related.

Yep, I recall that now....but he is still too close to Pitino in my opinion to be objective....He knows Pitino is hanging by a thread and I am sure he will frame the questions to make Pitino look like the victim......wonder if 9/11 and Billy Minardi will come up again....odds??

Well, he did bring Kentucky back from the dark days and looks to be leaving Louisville in shambles. So might argue that would be worthy of a statue.

In all seriousness though, if Farmer's isn't coming down, then Pitino's isn't coming down either, although personally I wouldn't be opposed to the idea.

So are we saying Pitino was a UK mole all this time?

People talk about Rick not knowing about any of the shenanigans. If it was just the players themselves getting this "service" provided to them, I might be sympathetic towards that, however, when you have recruits on campus on visits, many of them underage, as a coach you HAVE to know where those guys are at ALL times. When they are on campus in an official visit capacity, they are YOUR responsibility as a coach. If one of those kids had gotten hold of some bad drugs or drank too much and had a problem, then who's hands is that on.

what do you mean?
These "kids", as you say, were at least 17 years with a lifetime of adult experience. They have had hookers and strippers at their beckon call for years. They knew what they were doing, no supervision should be needed, if they are true L1C4 men.

How many times did cat fans hear it's only a matter of time for vacating after hiring Calipari as coach...Pay Pal Cal..Velcro banners..previous cheater/current cheater, the list goes on, now look where we stand, major major confirmed facts coming out about the very school that those jealous thug hoodlums wished on UK..I pledge as of now if Katina gets time for anything pertaining to this major to some but well known to others fact I pledge if she gets any time for her part in this Christmas like news to donate to her cigarette, new underwear, weed , protection from jailbird lesbians, whatever fund..I will pledge the first 20.00...Jus sayin

NCAA does whatever they can to protect title winners and the sanctity of their club. Memphis runner up finish vacated cause they lost. Kansas won and Darrell Arthur still hasn't graduated from high school. If the Fab 5 at Michigan had come through and won a couple titles instead of lost a couple they would have been left alone. I expect L'ville to get destroyed, death penalty even. UNC is gonna get off much lighter I fear. Both will keep their banners I'd bet.

I actually have a lot of respect for tony vanetti on the underdogs. I've always liked him because he's pretty funny and doesn't take a lot of shots at uk and if he does its in fun. Today he is absolutely not holding back. They had a guest on and he even said afterwards, look, you can defend pitino but this falls on him. He even called out president Ramsey saying "we need you to LEAD! Be a leader!!!".

UofL isn't getting benefit of the doubt or favoritism on this show today. Maybe thus have many times in the past but not today.

Is it even confirmed that they are the same strippers that had an association with McGee?

I imagine it like this:

Q: In your time at UofL, were there ever strippers or prostitutes in the dorms entertaining the players?

A: Yup, we had strippers one time, but there was no sex. I had no idea how they were compensated, other than the dollar bills a few of the guys were throwing, and McGee wasn't there.

So many unknowns right now that it's hard to come to any sort of realistic conclusion about what should be done. Drawing conclusions about how the University should react is foolish at best, given that the University still doesn't know what happened.

^ From the Card Scout forum.

They also said that Lyles might have just told the NCAA about hooking up on the trip, nothing specific to Powell or strippers.

I love the idea that the NCAA took Lyles talking about just general sex and didn't bother to check whether he was talking about the stuff from the book. And then CBS reported on it.

Or that Eric Crawford took a former Card talking about strippers and didn't bother to check if they were the same ones in the book - and then reported it. lmao.

Some of your fan base wouldnt believe that the Cards did anything wrong if there was a picture of players in compromising positions with sluts while Andre McGhee passes money to Katina. At some point you will own this, there is too much smoke for it to be nothing.

I've actually been listening to the Underdogs and their callers, and I've also been reading a bit on Louisville message boards, and the reactions right now seem to be going 3 primary ways...

1. Some are still defending Rick and Louisville. They are doing mental gymnastics attempting to either deny the reports are true or they are attempting to make the allegations out to be something less serious than it really is.
2. Some are deflecting toward others, especially UK. I've heard and read multiple times that UK and Calipari are the ones who should be dealing with an investigation. And one of the most common things is "If you think this kind of thing doesn't go on everywhere else, you're naive."
3. I've actually read and heard several die-hard Louisville fans who have hit their limit, with Rick's sordid affair from a few years back, the hiring of Petrino with all his baggage, and now this. Some are so ashamed, they don't want to even wear any Louisville gear or support the program until something changes.

I've also discovered this, which many already know- the message board posters are the most delusional about all this. They have invested themselves in an internet and message board persona for years and they wouldn't drop their guard and admit all this is true if they had witnessed these things first hand. It's sad in a way, but I suppose it shouldn't be surprising.

If this were UK, I think I would want to wait before I condemned everyone until all the facts come out, but at this point, I think I'd be convinced that much of this story and the information contained in this book must be true. I think I'd likely just be keeping my opinions to myself right now and just seeing how things unfold.

imo no. even haters in the media know that when we broke through in '96 uk was going to win a few more at least. to even be in that position coming out of probation to me is one of the great coaching jobs of all time. is it embarrassing having it up there? yes. did he cheat at uk? there's no evidence. he's a douche, but at kentucky he was a major force. you can't really argue that if you knew the state of the program in 1988-89. joanne was still young and didn't need facial work to try and get attention from her cheating husband. the ho ***** stuff started in the ville because of cal at uk obviously. so where do you draw the line? is this cold case? or are the possible charges just too sickening. we need a verdict imo. if he loses the title and wins there may be enough pressure to take it down.

maybe three stacks can get three strikes? lol

Good example of why no should put up banners or build statues until careers are over.
i definitely agree with this. even alabama got lucky with saban. i think he had one title when they started building him a bronze statue.

What is so laughable over on their board..... Oh sure strippers may have now been confirmed in the dorms but there was no sex (that he knew of)....that last part is missed.

But further...those morons seem to think strippers spontaneously show up for free in a college dorm room and take their clothes off. What kind of morons do they raise over there that make them think "its just a band of free-range strippers" is any better for them.
Mr Favor says head 'em up,move 'em out!!
