You gotta love Cue Card aka BC_1978. First he says:

With Calipari, it's more complex just because of the network of people he has put in place and how his network is organized. He runs his basketball program much like a Don runs his Mafia family (without all the killings mind you). He will ALWAYS maintain his distance from anything and everything which could link him directly to cheating. I'm not talking about Al Capone. I'm talking about John Calipari who is just a basketball coach but he understands how to play the recruiting game as well as any coach in the country, and that is NOT a compliment.

Then later in the same thread:

As far as the current "scandal" going on at UofL, I have no answers nor do I have any excuses. The only thing I'm going to say about it is I won't be falling on any swords defending Pitino like you always do defending Calipari. I will wait for ALL of the information to come out, be confirmed then speak my mind on it.

He blindly criticizes Calipari yet he will "wait for all the information to come out" regarding the Louisville scandal/Pitino.

When it comes to the news media I think the majority of them are kensucky fans first. Louisville has never been given any favors from them, and they've never have any problems trying to discredit Louisville and throw them under the bus.

Isimply cannot kep track or remember all of UL's nonsense recently which illustrate its rogueness....can anyone help me list all of UL's issues in one place.

Off the top of my head:

*Pitino/Sypher
*rehiring Petrino
*dead cheerleader in fb dorm?
* Behanan
*Ware coverup?
*C. Jones?
*questionable fb transfers
*YUM center finances?
*recent court award for sexual harassment for womens coach?
*Clint Hurt

*bringing in UNC compliance person

*Preston Knowles beat his girls friends father

*Terrance Jennings and Jerry Smith arrested at a Louisville Alumni gathering.

*Football Player beaten so badly by his teammates in the football locker room he had to be taken to the ICU and sued the school

what am I missing?

Also it should be noted Kerry Rhodes is an idiot in his first post. Hiring Adult Entertainment during a recruiting visit IS a NCAA violation. It doesn't matter if they're strippers, hookers or dominatrices or even who hired them. (covering all the bases since Louisville is so slimy). If a recruit comes to your campus on an official visit and is exposed to adult entertainment its a violation.

Hell its even in their Student Host handbook

when will ul fans learn, no one hates ul except UK and cincinasty. the rest of the country could give 2 craps about you. that is why your defense makes little sense. cal has people watching him and waiting for him to screw up. no one is watching anything ul does in any sport.

Chris Jones not Russ Jones

Death of a Cheerleader in a Football players dorm room. Player also gets expelled for being a drug dealer.
Football Player beaten so badly by his teammates in the football locker room he had to be taken to the ICU and sued the school.
Clint Hurtt retained after being found guilty of a show cause at Miami. Louisville elected to keep him despite potential sanctions.

I don't think that would've happened. While it's hard to guess what a different future would look like, I've always thought Coach Pitino would've been more successful than Coach K if he had stayed at UK. In fact, I've always thought we would be much closer to UCLA in titles, too.

Coach Pitino at UK and Rick at UL have always been different people to me and they always will be. I just hope BBN will welcome Coach Pitino when he finally does retire. This is his home, not UL.
Um, HELL NO.

He's Louisville's embarrassment and cross to bear now.

He's a Loserville Tard all the way. He's been there almost 2x as long as he was at UK.

Hopefully he stays the hell away from UK and Lexington.

That is funny because the CJ has yet to do any hard investigation into UL's wrongdoing. Anything negative to UL is just a repeat of what others have reported CBS, Crawford, Forde, etc. All of their investigative articles have been about Katrina Powell and whether she should be prosecuted. Last night they interviewed Powell's ex husband about what he thought about Katrina's business. Let's see if they will do some digging into the other side of the story.

Dickhead V responds. "Ppl screaming about Rick Pitino /Facts r /not 1 iota of evidence that he was aware of this soap opera / Andre McGee MUST tell the TRUTH"

I can't link Twitter so maybe someone else can.
If he knew he's toast, if he didn't know he's toast. A head coach is 100% responsible for the actions of his staff and program and that's just the NCAA part of it. Morally, a man has 16-17 year old kids visiting his campus, he is responsible for them, he BETTER know where they are and what they're doing at all times. To say he wasn't aware of something this systemic borders on criminal neglect. But then again how likely is it that something like this could go on for 4 years and the coach not be aware of it. He knows no shame.

This scandal ought to stop the lil Ricky to UL petition.

But W...seriously, with those names of the girls who signed into the UL dorm facilty, you're saying those names represent regular girls? Come on.....

Let's hear Blakeney and McGee's version of this and it very well could cost UL some of their success from year's past. There is nothing here that favors UL walking w/o penalty.

And the NCAA shouldn't UL offer any penalty until they finish grilling UNC and their cutting corners for athletes.

Recruiting for both should be ho-hum for another year or 2.

Agree. Lack of media scrutiny is one of the big reasons they are in this mess. They can't see the forest for the trees.

Outside of Jefferson County no one cares about uofl..I don't know why they think it's a conspiracy. The only talk people have about them is how theyre Sleaze U. If lville was forced to go back to the Missouri valley confernce it wouldn't be a blip on sportscenter.

So we've got DickieV telling us there's no way Pitino or Roy can keep up with the demands of 13 athletes?
Has Vitale ever said the man in charge is responsible?

Internal football player assault where players eye socket is broken...comes out in the media months afterwards.

In like 2010 I think a baseball player murdered a football player..might need to verify that.

He called for Larry Brown to be done in the last week or two. Vitale is a joke. Backs buddies and throws others under the bus. And for the record, I think he'd back Cal to in a similar situation. Doesn't make it right. Vitale use to be a passionate voice for CBB. Now he's just a cartoon character with no objectivity that's past his prime.

I wonder how many of the scout posters actually went to ul.

There are two camps now.

1. those with degrees who are tired of their university being run by an amoral athletics director. Serious does Ramsey have a spine?

2. Those who only support ul athletics and think tom Jurich is a saint.

They will be perennial bottom feeders if they don't get expelled from the acc first.

I have posted in other threads, but let me repeat: This is just the tip of the iceberg. Right now they are running damage control hoping to keep all the other crap hidden. Why would Tom Jurich feel he had to come back from North Carolina, where he was with the football team, to intercede with basketball recruits on campus. Translation: Ramsey was about to blow a gasket when this news came out, and Tommy Boy had to get back to Louisville to calm him down. Ramsey wants to dismiss Pitino now! The president of the university has been threatened with an audit by the school of his personal accounts, and he does not need this stuff going on. Jurich had to run point for Pitino with Ramsey because he was calling for Jurich to clean house. There is graft, kickbacks, and malfeasance hidden all through the sweetheart contracts at the Yum Center. Ramsey and Jurich have been screwing the golden goose for years, and now investigators are starting to gather. I predict that this will wind up causing more than Rick's resignation.

His ego would only continued to grow at higher exponential rate, if he stayed at UK...
He thought he was a GOD...two more years at UK, he would have deemed himself as GOD and ordered us to start building him pyramids.
UK would have gotten severe sanctions along that route, his ego was just (is) too big

Could the acc kick ul out, if most of this stuff comes out as true? They're only in their second year, and they got this going on. The conference can't feel great about letting in a program like this.

On second thought, maybe the acc will keep them around to keep the heat off of unc.

Good grief. Listening to Bob Valvano interview Dana O'Neill of ESPN (one of the "triumvirate", the threesome Cal has referenced as particularly biased against him, along with Forde and Thamel). She is doing her best to be neutral, down the middle, let's not overreact to this, i don't know if Louisville has a culture that's harmful to women. All fine. Except that you know her response would not be the same if the epicenter was 65 miles east.

Valvano with little to no awareness, compares this to the Seinfeld scene where George is caught boinking the cleaning lady on a desk, and when caught he says "Was that wrong?" Bob says that's what we have here, you shouldn't have to tell people this is wrong.

Fine. Do no alarm bells go off in his head when he uses the phrase "sex on a desk" and Pitino in the same sentence? Is he not aware of Charlie Strong's list of 5 values, when it comes to basic wrongs you shouldn't have to explain?

Dana helpfully points out that the idea that the coach is responsible for anything that happens in his program is not absolute, it's rebuttable. So worst case it's all true, Rick can still make the case that he shouldn't be held accountable.

Speaking of the triumvirate, anyone notice how quiet Forde and Thamel have been? Forde broke the story, then disappeared. Just like if it was Cal.......

I'll be shocked if any UL management is not there for the next 3-5 years. When you're a bad dude at the top of the ladder, you're teaching the others how to escape scandal and keep everything hidden.

If I was a UL fan, I would feel very disheartened by what's going on REGULARLY there. Not many outside of Kentucky care, but there is nothing to be proud of in the football and basketball programs.

This ought to linger for another couple years and take their programs down a notch or 2.

If you had to trust Ramsey, Jurich, Petrino or Pitino, who would it be? The 4 horsemen of scandal/shame.
