Us: man ul might be in trouble
Them: it's just some wore trying to get money
Us: man this might actually be True.
Them: still nothing to worry about.
Us: they screwed now
Them: Mcgee had his phone stolen and Rick didn't know anything.
US : that seals it. They are going on probation.
Them : Mcgee was abducted by UK fans and brainwashed into doing this but this is only a few girls in a one piece, not even a bikini, dancing for a few $$$. We will tell every thing we know on UK and iu. They still have no evidence of a crime and worst case scenario Mcgee gets a show cause and allegations didn't hurt unc or the cuse.

Serious question....

With Cal being only 60 miles down the road, will that deter some coaches?

The fans will expect to keep up with UK, I think he definitely adds pressure to that job.

No way I see a Greg Marshall take a job with that unnecessary pressure.

I think Cronin is a good answer and probably the biggest name they could get.

Any assistant or non Power 5 coach would not be surprising, Archie Miller?

Of course UL fans believe they can get Phil Jackson or Coach K.

Not a chance and that's wishful thinking. I think if anything in this matter is crystal clear is that he had no knowledge of this what so ever. The more that comes out the more this just sounds like college kids having some fun and throwing around some money. The girls sound more like friends than "professionals". I mean they were in swimsuits for goodness sakes. I am beginning to think this was even less than I thought yesterday. Still probably not in the best test but it's just college kids having fun.

What should strike a chord is that Lyle who is obviously just telling the truth, is vilified and harassed by Cardinals village. While the usual bottom feeders of hypocrisy, Jurich, Pitino and all of their bowing yes men are lauded as victims here, laughable to say the least. That administration has strong armed everyone for a long time, they forget, everything is cyclical.

I agree however I think people over-do the term "pressure" with today's coaches. I think most of this way of thinking started when guys like Smart and Donovan turned down several higher up positions to stay. However, most of these men take better jobs eventually. In the coaches business, they don't get there by shying away from pressure. They get to high level D1 coaching jobs by taking on pressure at every stop. Greg Marshal is just waiting on the right job. IMO there's a difference in waiting and being scared of pressure. I also think ESPN started this "stay where you're happy" nonsense and people have bought into it.

Just my opinion on that. Kind of a change of topic I know

The Louisville job? That's a different animal. I wouldn't take it to save my child. Terrible position

Their athletic department reminds me of the last scene from the baseball movie 8 Men Out. They think they're untouchable, laughing and out partying every time they get away with something. Unfortunately, I think it's going to take a guy just like Kenesaw Mountain Landis to finally clean them up. The clip in this link is exactly what needs to go down at UofL.

Right? Assuming they are hit hard, that will be a smelly stigma.

Marshal turned down Florida, I just wonder if he is waiting on something... UNC?

My thinking is, at UL you will already have to deal with the ACC, you MUST play UK every year, and the fans will want to keep up with us.

That is quite a bit. Assuming a Florida commits to bball, I would take that job over UL.

Great instate talent, no real instate powerhouse. Yes you have to play UK twice every season but your fanbase will not hold you to the standard that UL's would.

Pearl might be crazy enough to do it. Cronin doesn't have that many other options.

Archie Miller will continue to be a hot name.

Amaker is a clean coach, African American, Bobby Hurley?

I could see Payne wanting it, would UL take an assistant?

I'm guessing the female enrollment plummets there. With the jurich sexual harrasment suit from a few yrs ago, to petrino, pitino, and the schools objectifying of women...no responsible parent is going to put a daughter on that campus. It'll have to be a work/study program only for women inmates to earn their degrees moving forward.

UL better hope the NCAA and all the outside media keep their focus on Basketball...best case for cards at this point is that no one digs any further than what ever the escort said, UL basketball skips a post season, and a few bball scholarships are lost...

Any C journalism student and rookie NCAA worm could make their careers by putting minimal effort into poking around the entire athletics program...

Isimply cannot kep track or remember all of UL's nonsense recently which illustrate its rogueness....can anyone help me list all of UL's issues in one place.

Off the top of my head:

*Pitino/Sypher
*rehiring Petrino
*dead cheerleader in fb dorm?
* Behanan
*Ware coverup?
*C. Jones?
*questionable fb transfers
*YUM center finances?
*recent court award for sexual harassment for womens coach?
*Clint Hurt

*bringing in UNC compliance person

*Preston Knowles beat his girls friends father

*Terrance Jennings and Jerry Smith arrested at a Louisville Alumni gathering.

*Football Player beaten so badly by his teammates in the football locker room he had to be taken to the ICU and sued the school

what am I missing?
That place really is a disgrace to college athletics.

Jurich will swindle all the funds he can to throw at a big name..I just don't see a big name wanting to come knowing you'll always be in UK's shadow and the pressure to keep up with us

We have seen these kind of scandals play out in public the last several years. With onslaught of social media, you literally have hours once a story breaks to make it or break it.

Here is what UL fans are really not considering. This issue is something the common (non-sports nut) person can understand. And that is why this is not going away, regardless of specific facts. If even the gist of it is true, then Pitino is done, and maybe Jurich.

In the minds of the public, UL has a culture of sexual corruption". UL will woe the day they brought back Petrino. It really makes Jurich and the BOT look really bad now in light of all the other sexual issues that have come up. Somebody needs to compile a list of the sexual related issues at UL in the past 5 years or so. Chris Jones rape case & Preston Knowles girlfriend have been mentioned. The KY Supreme court ruling this week, giving an award to former UL female coach. I think there have also been some other issues in the dorms at UL.

So now this issues rises above anything specific to an NCAA allegation. And our current society is very intolerant of ethical issues at colleges, government, or businesses. With social media, your fate is generally determined in the first 24 hours of the news breaking. This is not your normal PR issue. All of these individual decisions UL have made, have conglomerated in the publics mind. They are a school that is dirty beyond NCAA compliance.

UL will throw Pitino under the bus (get rid of him), to try and stave off even more severe NCAA violations. If the NCAA won't agree to just Pitino, then Jurich is gone also. Cleaning house is the only way UL can avoid possibly the death penalty.
