I really hated Louisville in the 80s, but my view of those teams has softened through the years.

This. I grew up in Louisville, and although I was a UK fan, I could at least watch their games, without rooting against them. It changed when Denny came. That was about the time that they wanted to challenge big brother. I really started disliking them when they would not play good defense and let the offensive man get to the basket, just so they could try to make a sensational block, from behind. Then they would talk. They ridiculed UK because, according to UL fans, we weren't nearly as athletic, and just played fundamentally sound basketball. They were even delusional enough to say that Cawood wasn't nearly as good as Van Vance. When they started having some success, they bullied the legislature into the annual game. Now they regret it. I hope they get what is coming to them, all the time Cal keeps kicking their butt.

Used to go to ul games because you could always get tickets and there were no bad Sears in Freedom Hall.
The ul team in 1970-71 was one of my favorites. Jim Price, al Vilchek(sp), Bacon and Mike Lawhon.
But ul started all the crap about playing them. Made me choose and there was only one choice......UK!!!!

I listened to many Louisville games in the 50's and 60's with my Grandpa on the hills of Eastern, Kentucky. He was a fox hunter who loved to listen to hounds run, and always carried an Airline radio, he ordered from Montgomery Ward, when he went fox hunting. Maybe some of you know what I'm talking about, if your in your 60's or 70's.
My Grandpa loved the CATS, but he always listened to the other state schools, and was for them. I didn't learn to hate the Cards until I moved back to Kentucky in 1974, and it wasn't hard after being around Card fans.

Bottom line is so many UK fans and even some grounded UL fans tried to tell the idiot UL fans that this was really bad and a big-time punishment was looming but they just plugged their ears and told us we were trolls. Now that it's happening they are still trying to deny it but instead of blaming the people that caused this they blame UK fans, Matt Jones, Ramsey and Katina Powell. They STILL don't get it.

I got a two day ban for posting a video of Zipp pushing the old lady into a pool and was told it was my fault - he said it never happened so I posted proof. When Steelers banned me for a week I told him to keep the ban for as long as Zipps ball$ were in his mouth - still banned as of this day. What they don't realize is that they lose traffic and $$ because of those two, and watching that program self destruct is hilarious. Funny thing is like a previous poster said you can sign back up under a different device and they cannot ban because of the different IP address so they have no clue who I am. As long as it does not say "Cat", "UK", or "Blue" they have no clue.
