What conspiracy theory do you believe in?

My personal favorite is the New World Order Theory that basically involves world elites controlling and manipulating governments, media and industry through central banking. I think the events of this year pointed toward this theory actually being correct.

That the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd who died in their 1977 plane crash did not die on impact, but rather were cannibalized by the lesser injured members.

We didn't see Billy Powell or Gary Rossington for 2 years after the crash and the next time they showed themselves they were "just ate a person" fatter than they were before the crash.

Ohhh. There's a flat-earther or chemtrailer around here, I know it.. Speak up. Those are my favorite!!

Personally, I think a lot of the government related conspiracy theories are rooted in an ounce of truth but then gorge on themselves due to lack of researchable facts. Plus, the internets...

There are different levels to conspiracy theories, imo. There are the comedic whacked out ones - Flat-earth
There are the the ones that have an ounce of truth but like you said, they get watered down by lack of verifiable evidence - D.U.M.B.s, secret societies (Bohemian Grove)
Then you have the highly plausible that people just turn a blind eye to - Global Elite, NWO, Illumaniti (Geogre Soros, The Rockefeller's, etc..)

Let's not forget that up until several years ago, the Gulf of Tonkin incident was dismissed as a crazy conspiracy theory...that is until the U.S. government confirmed it wasn't a conspiracy theory and DID happen the way "the crazy's" believed.

My favorites would be the NWO, and Pearl Harbor (we let it happen to get us all in on the war)

The mob blackmailed J Edgar Hoover, because they knew he was a closet queen, into having JFK assassinated. The mob was pissed because they helped him in the West Virginia primary and he and Bobby double crossed them. They made a **** load of money in Cuba before Castro. Oswald was there but he wasn't the shooter.

OJ Simpson killed JFK. Very clever man.
I hate conspiracy crap, but the one event in history that had raised an eyebrow (at least for me) was the assassination of Lee Harvey Oswald.

Dallas police station, Jack Ruby right there front and center. I keep thinking Oswald was nothing more than a lamb being led to slaughter.

Just sharing for the relevance to the subject, and for the effort that went into this recent production:
