I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next person but,

1.) I was actually at the Pentagon on 9/11 and saw pieces of the commercial jet airliner myself. I will concede that it burrowed into the building with such force that there wasn't as much debris as I would have expected, but there was enough, including a fairly large piece with the airline logo.

2.) I knew someone who was on the flight that hit the Pentagon. The idea that neither she nor anyone else listed on the flight log was ever seen again is a pretty big hole in your theory.

Such a dumbass conspiracy. On so many levels really. Those psychos can be shown mountains of solid evidence, and they always follow it up with some stupid comment about a subject they know absolutely nothing about. Every far left thinker was a ***** engineer during those days.

Conspiracy theorist - Why was this missing and that burning. Everyone knows this should be present and that doesn't burn ?

Rational, norman individual (after 2 minutes of google) - "Everything you just said was false"

Conspiracy theorist - I don't listen to the government or the commission on this. I watched 2 documentaries on it.

If a dude at work started talking about a faked moon landing, then I knew there were going to be other cool theories as well.

I think the biggest conspiracy on the internet is Rogue Mocha's big tittied Latino girlfriend who lives in Tampa, demanding that he leave bartending in the Keys so that he could be with her as a male nurse curing the sick.
See you already got it wrong. She's white and has tiny boobs(soccer player type body, all *** and legs). Now the girl I'm dating now has huge fake boobies and is 21 .

No. Just wanting to see a clear video of a commercial airliner hitting the pentagon.

Obviously, that would change my stance completely.

What conspiracy theories that were proven to be fact have surprised you, and which ones do you feel validated your belief in conspiracy theories?

Or is that advertising changes? I would think someone would have a picture of a Froot Loops box or a Chik-Fil-A owner opening a restaurant or whatever.

I don't necessarily think Bigfoot exist, but if someone could research the the national park disappearances and give me a good explanation, I'd love to hear it.

Seems the possibilities resolve to either aliens, Bigfoot, time loop, or it's all a lie. And I don't see how so many could be lying.

That pretty much checks all the boxes. Racist. Homophobic. Sexist...

Really insulting and degrading. I understand not liking someone's politics and the usual partisan ******** but that stuff is just taking it to another level where it should not go.

I never will understand this kind of hate.

9/11 conspiracies (jet fuel can't melt steel beams!) only exist because conspiratards forgot that the chemtrail fluid burns way hotter.

The Titanic was actually the Olympic. Greatest insurance scam in history.
My personal favorite is the New World Order Theory that basically involves world elites controlling and manipulating governments, media and industry through central banking. I think the events of this year pointed toward this theory actually being correct.

So - here's how I think about it

Conspiracy theories kind of fall into three sub-divisions

1) ACTUAL Conspiracies -- every military revolution ever fought, US Grant era massacre of buffalo in order to "help deal with" the plains Indians, CIA LSD experiments, Black aviators given a placebo to treat their syphillis --- so the placebo effect could be examined, Gulf of Tonkin

^^ those things are real and not urban legends -- and by definition, they ARE conspiracies

2) Some truth - mixed with varying degrees of lies, legends or misinformation - I think some of the advanced military technilogies we've tested have caused urban legends to spring up at times --- The Philadelphia Experiment probably falls into that category -- as do experiments with certain forms of Mind Control and -- YES -- Weather Manipulation --- those things have some credibility ..... but they are surrounded by side stories and legends that I believe are false

3) The Urban legend -- fun stuff but probably 90-100 false --- I believe we landed on the moon, I believe the earth is roundish, I DON'T believe the Queen of England is a Lizard person, I don't believe that North Carolina really runs a credible basketball program ....etv etc

^^ doesn't that seem fair and about right?

So that means no one should make you feel like you're a NUTCASE because you use the word CONSPIRACY ---

.

I'll tell you one that I think's festering away - and is being hushed up internationally

From the "Franklin Scandal" to the "Jimmy Seville debacles in the UK", the UK's Jersey Island investigations and the Penn St football fiasco that was ABOUT TO IMPLICATE others

I think perverted assed men who molest CHILDREN -- network together --
And I think there's an inordinate amount of "upper crust" represented in that sick-*** group of human beings

What's happening in parallel however -- is the next turn for sexuality

Will the effort to normalize "Age fluidity" and groups like NAMBLA - over take the investigations and scandals that seem to pop up with such regularity?

You'd THINK that would be a bridge too far -- but I am 100% convinced that we're seeing an abyss yawning before us that can't be filled -- it'll ALWAYS be something else

Damnit .....I said no more politics ....like around 2pm

ok - taking a walk back with more beer in a few

JFK = the Zapruder film provides some awfully good evidence of the bullet coming from the front, not the back.

I also believe 100% that the NFL is rigged. They create storylines to improve ratings that seem too good to be true. I used to be a big Bengals fan and watched football all day on Sundays in the fall but now I couldn't care less about it for this exact reason.

i wouldn't think that until those lights magically went off when my Ravens were dominating the Niners in Super Bowl 47.

The only proof you need that bankers run the world is this...my thread on alternatives to modern banking was locked when a banker, lexie, got offended and cried to the mods.

It's still circumstantial evidence but I know retired Air Force Colonel personally who was working in the Pentagon when the plane hit.

In case you haven't seen what happens to an airplane hitting a concrete wall at 500 mph, here is an example.

Yep, wings sliced through the concrete like butter and stayed fairly intact. I'm betting if the video showed the aftermath we'd see that the engines were deformed but still largely intact and in large pieces as well.

I wasn't offended - I was appalled by your stupidity.

I didn't run to mods.

Just because you ran up debt, got your single wide repossesed and have a vendetta doesn't mean that you understand fair lending laws, loan to deposit requirements, or how bank examinations (either safety and soundness, IT, Trust, or compliance) work.

But, yes. It's the bank's fault that you can't manage your own money.

I've heard a couple of conspiracy theory goofiness regarding JFK that proves how truly bizarre and twisted around folks can get. One is that Oswald was one of two shooters -- both of whom were acting independently of each other and who just coincidentally fired on the motorcade at the same time. The other was that JFK wasn't shot by Oswald, he was shot by someone down in a storm drain along the side of the street. No, really, imagine the geometry of those shots. And imagine the curved barrel of that gun. As the eminent philosopher Ron White once said: you can't fix stupid.
