My guesses:
Pernell McPhee - 2nd - Potential to move up the board with a big year.
Derek Sherrod - 2nd/3rd - Not sure if he has the nasty streak it would take to get him in the 1st or high 2nd.
JC Brignone - 3rd/4th
KJ Wright - 5th

I think he is going to explode in Manny's defense. Someone is going to have to account for those blitzing linebackers, or let them run free while they are double teaming him.

Derek Sherrod- 5th round-7th round.

Leon Berry- Free agent.

Patrick Hanrahan- Free agent.

Chris White- 3rd round- this guy unbelievable.

K J Wright- 6th round

Maurice Langston- 7th round because of character issues. I think he gets drafted because he is a corner.

I've always thought KJ was considered better then White. Think he is going to have a better year?

I cannot recall a MSU defender at any position that has the closing speed that White has. Don't give me 40 times and all that jazz. Just watching games, this guy locks-in on a ball carrier and pushes the turbo button.

Sherrod will go anywhere from the late first round to the third round. He has the athleticism to go in the first, but Idon't know if he is mean enough. He ain't slipping past the third though. LTs are toohard to come by.

McPheewill go somewhere in thetop three rounds. With a big year and a good combine, I think he is going to flyup some peoplesdraft boards. He will need toshow well at the combine though. I'm not sure he has the speed to be considered an elite pass rusher. However, he is big enough to be a legit DE in a 3-4.

K.J. will go anywhere from the second to the fourth. I think pro scouts will fall in love with him when they see him in person. Wrightwill be coveted by a team that runs a 3-4 due to his size and athleticism. He is the protypical rush linebacker. I expect him to really rise up the draft charts after the combine.

White,Berry, Brigone, and Langston will beundrafted free agents. If White does get drafted, it won't be in the 3rd round.

Was a big reason why we were able to contain McCluster. I don't know if he will have a better year than KJ or not, but I think he will get drafted ahead of him. They will both benefit from our defense being more aggressive, though.

The thing that stands out about White to me is his speed as well as his instinct.

I'm not going to assume that he will next year. I hope he proves me wrong. I think as of now, he is a RT.

White is a productive LB, but K.J is a perfect fit for a team that runs a 3-4. There is a reason Croom said that if he could draw a LB he would make him like K.J. He is simply more talented than White is.

And Sherrod was a 2nd team All-SEC LT last year. He can play. You don't put a guy with Sherrod's athleticism at RT. That would be a waste.

There is no way in hell that White will be taken before K.J and Sherrod. It ain't happening. White had a good year last year, but some people saw the play against Houston where he ran the WR down and started to think he was an All-American.

With White, it wasn't just the play against Houston. As I said, he did a great job on McCluster, and did a great job all year long. KJ seems like he gets out of position sometimes. White very rarely makes mistakes and is just a great player. I think both will benefit from our new defensive scheme from Manny.

However, it doesn't matter who I was quoting. The bottom line is that K.J. is physically superior to White.

If you look at numbers you would no way draft him above Chaney but if you go with football abilty you have to go with Spikes. White amazed me last year. I thought that he was going to be the next TJ but he proved that all wrong.

KJ is listed on the spring roster as 6-4, 250. White is at 6-4, 245. If Croom thought KJ had a perfect frame for playing linebacker, he probably would think the same of Chris White, for whatever his opinion is worth.

Physical specs for linebackers vary pretty widely, too. 2010 Pro Bowl LBs varied in height from 5-10 (London Fletcher) to 6-4 (DeMarcus Ware) with most being around 6-0 and 6-1, so I'd say that's far from the most important aspect when it comes to getting drafted:

Ray Lewis, 6-1, 250
DeMeco Ryans, 6-1, 250
Elvis Dumervil, 5-11, 248
James Harrison, 6-0, 242
LaMar Woodley, 6-2, 265
London Fletcher, 5-10, 245
Jon Beason, 6-0, 237
DeMarcus Ware, 6-4, 262
Brian Orakpo, 6-3, 260
Clay Matthews, 6-3, 250

I have no idea why I put so much thought and research into that, but what the heck. I think both guys are great and should project pretty well - probably better than Chaney.

It so much the combines and how they preform. If AD would have benched in low 20's instead of 15 and had a better 40 time he would have gone in the 3rd or 4th round. Sherrod,KJ and Mcphee with good years could be in the top 5 rounds. Brignone,White,Hanrahan,Langston and Berry it is all on the type year they have and measurables at the combines. Conner of Kentucky who is fullback went in the 5th round with 24 bench press reps & 4.73 40yd but a very good blocker with only 5 carries in 2010. Tell me how he went before AD? It is the draft, strength and speed at your position.

that had Dixon in the 2nd and Chaney in the 3rd?

Sherrod goes anywhere from the 2nd to 4th, McPhee goes 3rd and KJ goes about the 5th and that is it.

And in 2007 I would have called you crazy if you told me Kendrick Lewis would be drafted before Hardy and Snead. No harm meant by the comments, just the beer talking. Mcphee could be special next year.

Ya'll act like only Ole Miss fans were saying Snead was going first overall. Kiper, McShay, Mayock all the talking heads were touting him as a first round pick, little bit different then some guys on a messageboard.

But it is fun to speculate and project.
