It's in the thread above, but in reference to Whitney's pitch count against UT, he said that if Cohen did that to his son, he would be in jail and Cohen would be in the hospital.

to walk batter after batter I don't think the opposition would get enough hittable pitches to get to 30 runs. I believe they would get max 20 before Bowen throws a 100. :)

I have been wondering what happened to Bowen. If his dad is spouting off stupid **** like that on GP, no wonder he is such a headcase. He gets it honest.

then he is what is wrong with athletics today. Parents today refuse to let coaches coach.

John Cohen is not here to run a manufacturing plant for the Major Leagues. He is here to win.

If Bowen's dad wants pampering, then he needs to pull his son, and the grape fruits that he throws across the plate, and transfer to UAB to play for Polk. Bless his little heart!!

I heard him speak tonight and he said that the biggest problem with kids these days is the lack of a work ethic, but the second biggest problem with the KIDS is the PARENTS. Either they don't discipline the kids, try to be cool like the kids, or have unrealistic expectations about how good the kids are.

Surely Bowen's dad didn't say all that, but if he did, he's with the mainstream today.

That not only is Cohen going to have to run off the guys without talent, he is going to have to run off some problem parents as well.

It's like we're transitioning from a Rec League team to a Select team.

Bowen's dad should hope his son would be pitched for 140 pitches. If that ever happens, it means he's pitching a good game, which he hasn't done in 2 years.

My guess is that he won't have to worry about it. If he gets the opportunity again, he will only last about 40 pitches.....and be pulled in the 2nd inning.
