The reason I find it important is it was set up by Holder to try and reign in the selling of guns. By showing that guns were going everywhere, south of the border, he could argue for limited sell of weapons. It put the weapons in the hands of the cartels. Now, I think that the cartels would still get their weapons but Holder should have been held accountable for stupidity.
