What do you think the key to beating the Rebel Bears is?

To me it is our defensive front 7 putting pressure on the Park and Rec Professional and stopping their running game. If we do that and Relf has half the game he did against Arkansas we win.

and excitement they will have, and keep pounding on them. If we can keep pounding away and limit them early, I think their emotion dwindle.

We have to finish drives and get 7's- not 3's.
Limit their offense to one big play (30+ yards)
Win the turnover battle

Cause I don't want to have to bank on him pulling his two best passing performances two weeks in a row.

It's easy to get too fired up to early and go flat. We need to play within the moment.

If we stick to our game plan and play smart, disciplined football, I expect us to win a highly contested battle.

Like C34 said, weather the storm early. Don't give up big plays early. Consistently drive the football with the running game. Relf has to be able throw, once in a while - doesn't have to have another Arkansas performance. DBs need to keep everything in front of them.

we can do is hug him up and tell him to keep playing hard. Ballard runs hard and I'd rather have him than Bolden, but based on results I have to rate it even...

I think he will play very well today

Whichever of the two has the bigger day may be the one thing that tips the scales. I think we are better against the run that the Bears though, they seem to really have a problem with the option read.

I have never liked rb vs rb, qb vs qb comparisons. Defense must be compared to offense. Running backs vs defensive fronts. Wr's vs db's. qb'sand lines vs defensive fronts.

IN this situation, if those comparisons are made:

They have a slight advantage on our offense because we do not do the things that exploit their defensive weaknessvery well. That is to say passing downfield.

Our defense has a slight advantage on them because they lack the downfield threat.

This may come down to special teams.

Or conditioning in the 4th quarter.

I dont agree that we dont match-up to exploit their weaknesses on D...they dont stop the read option worth a damn and I'm sure we will go back to some triple tonight as well...just like UPig's sorry D made Ralph look better, so will their secondary. Our WR's can win some battles against their secondary.
