What do you want for Christmas?

This time of year, my wife is always asking what I want for Christmas, either from her or her parents. I'm sure many of you are in the same boat.
What have you told them?

Right now the list starts and ends with this (only because I don't think anyone would pony up for round-trip airfare to Miami):

My dad has one and is a big fan. Now that I think of it, I'll also mention a wireless thermometer.

What's on your list, regardless of category?

A pair of Costas, a Big Green Egg, a Yeti Cooler, a Columbia PFG shirt, and a Salt Life sticker. I'm sure I forgot something though...

I recently came to the realization that I already have too much crap...

So the only thing I'm asking for is a book on Arsenal's 2004 season that recently came out.

Other than that, I honestly can't think of anything I need or want enough to clutter up my house. Maybe a new car if someone is just giving those away.

Wireless thermometer technology is getting better. A lot of them had trouble keeping the signal in the past. I haven't tried the iThermometer by Apple but I think it gets pretty good reviews.

I'd like to have a jerky slicer attachment to my meat grinder.

A ******** laptop that works for more than a year and all of the Geek squad to find the rest of the world as worthless as they are. Wouldn't bother me if none of them ever have a non-loose bowel movement either.

New pair of cowboy boots.

I've only ever owned 'work boots'; the closest pair I've got to actual cowboy boots are steel-toed shitkicker lookin things.

New set of golf clubs. It'll be my first set all to myself so it should get interesting over the next few months since I'm a beginner. Wish it was a trip to Miami

This is the funniest thread in a while. Days even. Actually, what I want for Christmas is for my kids to stop asking for money.

Even cheap laptops should work two years. How much pron are you watching?

Hate to be that guy, but if you don't like dealing with tech people and you don't have to use microsoft office suite a lot, spring for the mac. Have one that's probably four years old now and still works basically like new (maybe a little slower, but close enough that I'm not even sure) and even has a battery with decent life, when I've never had another laptop battery be useful after 18 months. If it lasts another two years, it will have blown away every laptop I've bought on a cost/benefit basis.

Best I can tell, Office on the Mac works just as well as it does on a PC. I've been using it on the Mac for many, many years.

I have a white MacBook that's probably about 7 or 8 years old. It's gotten really slow ... have to reboot often, and it's fast enough then, but clogs up quickly. Fixin' to buy a new Pro I think with solid state storage.

Since posting, I've been reading some on grilling thermometers. Now I really want an instant-read thermometer that is worth half a damn, in addition to the dual-probe leave-in. I've had horrible luck with cheapies.

It's been a while, but when I was in school I worked with a guy that used a mac and moving a word file from Mac to PC and back was awful. Formatting was always screwed up and often letters would be replaced with symbols. Maybe it's better now but at least then you couldn't really do anything on a Mac and expect for people on a PC to be able to use it, even if you were supposedly creating the same file type.

I highly recommend the Thermapen instant read thermometer. It's best to buy directly from the manufacturer website, there are some on the Amazon that are unnecessarily marked up.

You could be a little more subtle about trying to get rid of your wife
