There is a small chance I might be moving to Starkville and I was wondering what the broadband options are and what are you guys opinion on them.

Metrocast is known to be inconsistent and terribly slow during peak hours.

I have AT&T, and it seems to be very consistent.

for TV and Internet. I think the internet is about 35 a month for the basic cable connection, and goes up to 45 and 55 for higher speeds. The internet seems pretty reasonable, but the TV is too expensive IMO.

I payright at 100a month for TV and cable. They basically charge you 1$/channel a month for TV. You can forget any type ofcustomer service from Metrocast too. You'll get the "select 1 for a business account" BS.

Direct TV could be an option? </p>

I currently live in Saltillo and have Metrocast for my internet and DirecTV for my television. Up until the last month or so...Metrocast has been rock solid in regard to internet speeds....I pay for 7Mb down and that is what I usually get. If I do move...I imagine I will just stick with Metrocast for internet and DirecTV for television...simplest thing to do. Thanks for the info.

For comparisons sake...in the month of May...

DirecTV $61.77
Metrocast HSI $51.51

Total: $113.28

I checked to see what it would cost with Comcast just for giggles and it was $112 or so.
