What does this Bama/Auburn game say about us, if anything?

Bama is destroying these guys at their place. Did they just play lights out against us to score 88?

Auburn is a turd that wont flush.

We missed something like 14 FT's in the 2nd half that kept them in the game... Not to mention that before they started fouling at the end, they had already shot something like 15-16 more FT's than we did which kept them in the game

without so much offensive production we'd be NIT bound. Our D has been much more erratic than I have seen in a long time.

The thing we gave them more than anything else was confidence. When you give even bad teams confidence that they can do what they want (or what works best for them) against you, you get what we had against Auburn. We haven't won on the Plains since 2008... and the three games they have won, they have played lights out... particularly with hot 3 point shooting and penetration. I almost expect the same this year. If we aren't careful, we'll leave their place with a L.

The refs dictated this game. Every time Auburn got momentum the refs would call a technical or make a questionable call. I hate when refs take over a game. Could have been a great game if not for that.

Auburn has shown that on good days they can hang with better teams. On bad days they can get beaten by just about anyone.

We have shown that we can play just about anyone in America and only win by 3 points.

we get up double digits and lack the killer instinct to put teams away. in the past, most of our good teams would get up double digits at home and cruise to victory, while this year every game has to be a nail biter at the end. granted, we have been finding a way to win the close game which is a plus, but i fear in the tournament the lack of ability to finish a team early when smelling blood may come back to haunt us.

Don't know what round it will be, but there will be a game where we're up by 10-15 pts and end up losing because we can't put the team away.
