-- STAT OF THE WEEK: Mississippi State did not play last week. Under coach Sylvester Croom, MSU has won three of its four games against ranked teams after open dates - defeating No. 20 Florida in 2004, No. 21 Alabama in 2007 and No. 13 Vanderbilt this season and losing to No. 5 Arkansas in 2006. Croom's Bulldogs are 0-3 after open dates against unranked teams.
