What win?Dumb *** post. This is kentucky don't count anything out.
Been following Kentucky football for a lot of years. Know from experience you never should get to ahead of yourself regardless of the score. What win?
I'm hearing that MB is going to be working on a nice extension package over the weekend...Does his seat cool down significantly?
How is that sadly good enough? If we win the Southern Miss game we are exactly on track with what everyone though...losses to UF and Bama who we weren't supposed to beat. A 6-6 year should have been 7-5 if not for the second half melt down and we lost to 5 teams who were better than us (UF, Bama, UGA, UT and UL). That is what most predicted but because of one screwup all hell has broken loose.Nothing, expected win against a bad Vandy team. Now if he beats MSU and beats APSU, sadly I think that is good enough for Mitch.
Vandy lost to UF by 7 and held them to 13 points. This football team has improved and if not for Barker going down we would be putting up points like we did the first half of the Southern Miss game.UK is lucky they had Vandy on the schedule at this point. Still looks like a bad football team to me.
Offense is completely 1 dimensional. Defense looks better but hard to judge against a bad team like Vandy.
Vandy had a chance to send this game to OT if the TE catches that ball. This is not a good team right now. Vandy is pretty bad.

If we end the season 6-6 it is a step forward and we expect more wins next year which has been the catapult year all along.
you do know why southern miss was in schedule right? If uab didn't drop football we would be setting at 4-2. Southern miss wasn't great but neither are me. They had one thing we didn't and that was an experienced qb. Their qb handled adversity where ours didn't and we got upset. (Most teams get upset at least okce a year and that's what happened to us. Will happen to basketball team also)If he doesn't get a couple more sec wins he's toast it does nothing for him shouldn't have scheduled so miss big mistake

It shows what most of us have known that the guy can coach. He coached them to bend but not break and not give up the TD. DB'S were like blankets that last series.

For UK wanting to make a bowl that was a terrible call to add them to a schedule that had SEC and UL. They coulda found another team to play.
Troll posting at its best [roll][roll][roll]It shows what most of us have known that the guy can coach. He coached them to bend but not break and not give up the TD. DB'S were like blankets that last series.
Yep , 5&7 and lots of starters coming back , no way Barnhart pulls the trigger. Next season will be the litmus test for Stoops .With MB as AD and the enormous buyout that is included in his extension, his seat NEVER WAS HOT. Stoops will be at UK thru next season no matter what record UK finished with. Personally, I think it'll be another 5-7 season and Mitch will say we've improved.
Next year is the decisive season for Stoops. Anything less than a Bowl game at the end of the 2017 season and he's done.
We were demoralized after the Southern Miss collapse and t showed against Florida...plus Barker was injured and tried to play through it.One screwup? Southern Miss was one. Letting a terrible New Mexico St put up 35 points in the first half is two. Getting destroyed by Florida is three. Struggling to beat the worst team in the conference and letting them march right down the field with multiple chances to tie the game is four.
I am still not sure how much we have improved. South Carolina is a horrible measuring stick and I doubt Alabama took us serious most of the game. He has to win the next 2 if he wants me to think about jumping back on the bandwagon and even still I would like to see a win over one of the 3 good opponents we have left on the schedule to feel like we are turning the corner.
I could see us squeak into a bowl this year and return back to a losing record next year and set us back even further. It would put the next coach in a bigger hole once we start losing a bunch of starters. Next year sets up perfect for the right coach to come in here and have a good first year and if it doesn't happen and we keep Stoops, I'm afraid we will be back in the same shape when Joker was fired. That is a tough situation to get out of with the wrong coach.
You must be loving this. Barring a total team meltdown in the next 6 weeks, Stoops will be back in 2017. In the absence of some very unusual circumstances, no athletics director is going to spend $17-18 million in contract buyouts to fire a coaching staff that has 19 incumbent starters returning the following year.Does his seat cool down significantly?
