Anyone watching the Ole Miss vs Georgia game has to be as confused as I am how that was targeting. Right before the half.

I’ll post a video if anyone makes a snarky enough comment that hasn’t been watching.

It was a good call, You can't make contact the head/neck of a defenseless receiver
Also, define hit. What if a defender’s hand glances off of the runner’s helmet? By the letter of the law that is targeting. I’m being facetious and I agree with the intent of the rule. But it’s so open to so much interpretation that it makes 99% of viewers confused af.

Why was he defenseless? He caught the ball and took about 3 steps before contact. A defenseless WR is one who "has not clearly become a ball carrier" after the catch.

Probably payback for the missed facemask call on the OM RB directly in front of 2 officials. The UGA player almost ripped his neck in two. Not that I'm happy the Rebs won, but how do you miss that?
