If he says there's nothing there again with Edey's shove of Mulcahy, he should strap on some gold pom poms . . .
He must have gotten a taking to for ref criticism
I’ve never been one to mute broadcasts but he sure makes it tempting. Between his “play til you hear the whistle young fella” platitudes and simping for the Big Ten elite, he’s grown unbearable

If you think Rutgers has never committed a foul then you probably don’t like bardo. Simple people.
Yes, he didn’t impact the game (except for the viewers) but he’s been objectively wrong on a lot and keeps taking shots (Oskar isn’t physical, Jalen can’t shoot, Wolf needs to play through getting fouled).
He was a physical player and to hear him whine about RU's physicality and how it was ok for Edey to "retaliate" with fouls because he was being bumped was just insufferable.
This is all about catering to the audience.....it's what announcers and bracketologists and people do.....it's all based on what league you're aligned with.
Purdue is going to get Homer calls as a 1 seed.....that's Bardos job.
It's also Jerry Palm and CBS announcers job to highlight the SEC schools and Mountain West schools in terms of "bubble status".
Same thing with ESPN saying absurd things like Clemson is in the field.

The commentary on Edey was bad. That was a clear flagrant that the refs hesitated to call because of the game situation and maybe a little because of Paul's reputation as a flopper.
Bardo's insistence that there was "nothing there" was bizarre and just plain wrong, not matter what his motivation.
He says a lot of dumb or weird stuff like with 4 mins left he said Rutgers would come back and take the lead but that didn't mean Purdue wouldn't win. What? I think he tries to fill in too much and would be better off saying less and letting the play-by-play guy ask him a question or something.
He sounds enough like Len Elmore that it brings out the nostalgia for me but I wish he'd say less dumb stuff.

Need a break from Bardo. Glad we won’t hear from him again for 8 months. That 2.5 hour, on-air, fellation of Purdue was too much.

Yesterday Bardo said Rutgers has not looked good in 3 weeks and shouldn’t be considered for a ncaa bid. Good job b1g one of your announcers throwing a member school under the bus. Was hoping Robbie Hummel would have the game.

I'm not surprised by Bardo. I specifically remember the two Purdue regular season games the last two years that we won, he said during the commercial break that Rutgers wasn't going to get the win. He finally got his wish today after making him look stupid.
You would think Bardo is Edey's agent. Excusing the blatant push in the back that would have been an offensive pass interference in football is laughable. And then excusing the arm-bar. Come on.
