Richwoods has been the powerhouse football program in the Peoria area for decades.

Lost a close game to Peoria ND in week one (ND is undefeated).
Team is 1-6 and getting blown out in recent games. Injuries?
No doubt there is a shift in enrollment leaving Richwoods and going private route to ND.
Peoria Central is 7-0. I don't get it.
Who lives down there that can give me the real story on Richwoods' slide?

Was Central where Shaun Livingston went? IINM, Central was the designated selective enrollment aka magnet high school for the Peoria district. I bring up Livingston because I remember a rather "preppy" crowd cheering Central for state. P Central could be successful gaming the system for top talent plus getting in more coachable kids.

I did not know about Central being designated the selective enrollment school for District 150. Richwoods was always the country club school in Peoria proper since its founding in the 1950s until the last decade or two. The demographics have changed so much. So many upwardly mobile families have left Peoria for Dunlap, Morton, Washington etc. Many were attracted to these better school districts just outside of Peoria. Others send their kids to private Notre Dame.

District 150 has had real problems. I know when Woodruff was closed, enrollment was split between Richwoods and Central primarily. Could this be a lot of the problem?

Is it coaching?
Is it the kids?
Or is it just one down year?
